+1
no offense to those who use this synth still, but personally I think it doesn't sound good anymore compared to nowadays possibilities.
Yet I would install it on a netbook for example, just to have fun with it as a scratchpad when travelling.
It was always fun to use, though. I will surely install the new version it and give it a go.

I own just about every synth from Alchemy to Zebra and Synth 1 will always have a place in my Hall of Fame. It still has character and that's all I ask. I love the sound.planet ugh wrote:+1Purity Lied wrote: No updates to the sound, feature set or gui is better than nothing, sure, but not really much of an update tbf

I've just read Ichiro's update announcement and it's apparent that he is struggling with English. I seem to remember someone here who offered to help with translation?

Peeps, what do you say about this:
I collected about 27 banks (+20 Nord Lead II banks) for Synth 1.
I can make a "Patches" folder for Synth1, along with accompanying registry file, which would then sort out the paths for Synth1, and add those 47 banks in no time. The only thing you would need it open the .reg file in a text editor, then find&replace the path that I use with your own path. Then you double-click the .reg file, and the info is stored. Then you load Synth1, and all your banks are sorted out and named appropriately

Before that, can someone help me with the name of one bank. I have one bank I don't know where I got it from. The patches are named like this:
001 BA Dubstep 1
002 BA Dubstep 2
003 BA Dubstep 3
004 BA Hip Hop 1
etc...
001 BA Dubstep 1
002 BA Dubstep 2
003 BA Dubstep 3

etc...

Synth1 KVR One Synth Challenge one month; first update to Synth1 for 4 years the next month? Conincidence? I don't think so.

And this is what makes it special - it's "bread and butter" sounding. With nowaday possibilities, exactly what is more than often wanted.planet ugh wrote: no offense to those who use this synth still, but personally I think it doesn't sound good anymore compared to nowadays possibilities.
The only thing I'd like to see is a bit more aiming at the "nord lead" modulation. Brok Landers might know some more about this, but if this is implemented, and no sound is changed, I'm all game. You can use "converted" Nord Lead 1 presets already. For the Lead II you have Discovery.
Ever thought of joining the Synth1 Group on YahooGroups?DragonSagoth wrote: I can make a "Patches" folder for Synth1, along with accompanying registry file, which would then sort out the paths for Synth1, and add those 47 banks in no time.

Nice to meet you good evening.
My name is Ichiro Toda(daichi). I am a developer of Synth1. Thank you for having you use Synth1. I am tempted into Teksonik now and write in it at this forum.
I intend to update it steadily in future.
I will sometimes write in it at this forum.
I am sorry, but I please do not ask a too difficult question because I am weak in English.
I use the automatic translation.
