You already have a random patch generator, per se, in that Excel sheet. Works well. Although I know it would be cool to have internal randomizer.

1. With so many new bank slots it would really be awesome if the preset window would stay open while you look for a preset. The current methode is ok, but it takes twice as much time locating good presets. I don't mind to see this behavior as a checkbox in the options.

2. As for preset preview here is a suggestion: Single click to preview a preset, double click to load a preset.

3. The preset list has a not so nice habit of changing bank while the mouse is over a bank button. This would be very good if you could alter so you click on them instead. I don't mind to see this behavior as a checkbox in the options.

4. With today's advanced computers it wouldn't hurt to have at least 32, 64, maybe even 128 voices polyphony. I tend to lay down large chords, and the more notes available the better for me. This would be sweet with the new layer function you talked about.

Categories are only useful if we can name them ourselves. Also, programming-wise it should be very easy to set it up so the amount of catagories can be varied (using an array that is being written to an ini-file or the registry).

I have some suggestions for Synth1 update.
Sound quality must be updated. Please!
Anti-aliased / Oversampled oscillators/filters. Also many knobs are introducing noise into the audio chain when they are moved...
However, not everybody agree with the idea of upgrading the sound because they worry about greater CPU demand. It would be great to introduce an oversampling function into Synth1's option section so everybody would be happy!
