I don't agree. Synth1 has a very nice sound in it's own regard. And don't forget that oversampling takes added CPU-load. I think the real strength of synth1 is the fact that it sounds very good already combined with a very low CPU-load so you can run ten or more of it in a track.3ee wrote:Sound quality must be updated as well!

Lately I have been doing serious selections of all my plugins and many good ones have been shelved simply because of too much CPU-load. Synth1 will always be in my plugin set... until it starts using much more CPU.
But if it is an option that we can set or not then I see no problem at all.
However I stand by my statement that it sounds very good already. Remember that the usability of an instrument is hardly determined by 'antialiased oscillators' but much more by how good it will sit in a mix, how versatile it is and if it can add a certain character to your track. Synth1 already scores 100% on those features
