Absolutely, the surest sign of good program. But Reaper does call instruments FX which is bit kiddy and somewhat confusing.

Well I've started my track ... in musagi!! .... and its goin OK! Temped to use some automation ... musagi lends itself well to tweaking on the fly!

For such a small download size, Musagi has quite a bit under the hood. The thing with it on my machine, is that it seems to crash a lot.

If it's stable on your machine, it seems like it would be really fitting for an OSC production.

Yeah It's a very capable host actually, can be a bit unstable, but I gather there have been updates since the version I'm using.
The other thing is that it is hitting quite a high cpu load with 6 instances ... but the cpu load drops when the track is playing! .. strange!

I dont know if i'll manage to finish the track in musagi, but I'll give it a go!

Have to say tho, I'm not surprised ... this is a beast of a synth to work with .... some great presets, but hard to get the sounds I want just as I want them!

.... well, I now have 9 instances of StringZ2 running, and Musagi is becoming very musaggy! ... In my determination to finish the track in musagi, I'm gonna try sticking to the sounds I now have. Still, the strange thing is that it is far less CPU intensive when the track is actually playing! ... so i'm gonna have to write as it's running!!

Hows everyone else getting on? ... still over at OSC14 discussing age related ailments?
