Keep going
Your on a roll...liked the mac users one too, and I'am one. :hihi:
To be honest, when I saw a mirror this morning, I saw a :troll:
and neither black coffee or shaving have helped :-o

OT and also off food topic, i know spaghetti sauce is different, but im talking about pasta spaghetti in general..
to make a real spaghetti you need Italian Tomatoes (which are easy to find) and mostly, Italian water (which is a bit harder)
I work as a pilot and i NEVER ate good spaghetti outside my country, consider that also in northern Italy spaghettis are different than the southern ones, the secret is the water (like the coffee)
good old dirt toxic water from neaples

Post

Well, to begin with, I never use canned tomatoes for my sauce ;-)
I guess I'm not much of a preset user in any area of life, which may explain why I don't get along so exceptionally fine with a synth that owes most of its fame to presets... :P

In southern Italy they have fresh ingredients almost all year long and they taste much better, up here in the northern regions we gotta do with what we have... :?

Not shipping produce up the A1 in winter?
We escape the trap of our own subjectivity by
perceiving neither black nor white but shades of grey

Most of the vegetables and fruits we get probably come from your country

Actually, we're in the same hemisphere, with lots of produce coming up from South America -- their summer, our winter.

So OT.

I'd love to vacation in Amalfie, but I might never return

I admit I'm a preset 'ho, now with thousands more tricks to turn, but also wield a mean garden hoe in season :)
Rows of the large rectangular construction cement blocks, the ones with two holes, stacked 3 high for the back row, two high in front, and 1 high in front of that make a great tomatoe, peppers, cucumber, and melon garden, fill holes with sandy soil, and plants, the roots go down where its cool and moist, and water is confined, and conserved, weeds avoided, blocks absorb heat prolonging the growing season, used year after year, ones with broken corners are cheap or may be free if you watch building sites! 8)

Sure, it's extremely light on the cpu for what it does, but that's just about it. It's like Jackson's Thriller, three astoundingly great tracks, and the rest is totally fogettable crap, but it's sold 60 million copies. It's just one of those things I don't get, but I guess it all boils down to personal taste.
What freeware VA synth would you say sounds better than Synth1 then?

Of course it's subjective, but there are a good few free synths I consider to sound better than Synth1.
None have 24,357 soundbanks of tarnce presets though

Speaking of which - I don't want 80+ banks (even now we have the preset browser capability).
At the moment I'm running with a couple of Noelwens (sic?) an Ourboros and a bank of my own tweakers.
What are the other must have banks?
:hihi:

most are worth exploring, especially now that they all are before our eyes
instantly! A notebook really helps. I have used sounds from
pencilgod
rsmus7
wavephonic
teksonic
xenos
kaioti
vitaminD
amievan
audiowhore
echopark
do-androids-dream
gold/green/bwwd
+ the ones you mention
and more

Yep, my partner in BIOnighT has that, seems to work for him, too :) As to me, whatever I try to grow, dies in no time... and I have no patience or time to do what I should do not to let it die ;-) So the right punishment for my lack of will is the supermarket :(

Er... almost all of them... :P
(shall I really mention Elektrostudio or GTG, for example?)

Blah blah blah blah blah

:hihi:

The only freeware VA Synth I say that currently comes close is TAL-Elek7ro. Even then, I still don't think it's sound engine and ease of use matches up to Synth1.
