Try Vandal, I have been using almost all commercial and free amp-sims VSTs around for long time, I own and played with GR,2,3,4 and AT 2 and 3, and I must say while AT is good sometime for some creamy OD sounds, but it is not my go-to amp sim anymore after I have discovered VANDAL amp sim. give it a try and also don't forget to download DIMI's presets from the official Vandal website as well.

this is a joke right? How about every halfway decent sim, sooner or later you have to understand that some things have nothing to do with sims but comes from you. Palm muting is more about feel/recall and lead solos come from the soul ("distorted solos" is a bit vague). If you have to ask which sim is best and cannot figure these two essential things out from a brief demo I would suggest you spend more time working on you skills. No offense but these are as basic as they get and everyone of us will a different opinion of what sim works best and rightfully so

I use "pod farm" then "Cabenet", but Hink's right, you could use anything really, it's not what you use but how you use it.

But most importantly this is another excuse to show off how awesome I am

Here's a track with "I love NOFX" all over it:

Just had a listen to the song the OP mentioned (Paramore's Misery Business) which made me wonder: so this is called Punk these days? Neither the music nor the guitar sound have much to do with Punk in my book....
Other than that I agree with Hink: practice your playing skills and just about any amp-sim will get you very close to that tone.
