yes i think so..
improvements all round, tho you will be getting mostly the same models they are updated and better sounding plus the mic/room options are really good.
Try the demo?

Thanks, will try. Still I wonder whether getting A2Fender might be better than getting A3 as it would actually add new models/effects?! On the other hand: X-Gear seems dead if it's all going in the direction of one A3-package, not?!

See what a coupon can do...

It depends on which new models you want.
Do you want a Fender Blender or a Marshall Guv'nor?
Do you want a Fender Phaser or a Small Stone?
Do you want a (3rd) Bassman or an Orange 120?
Do you want a Vibroverb ir a Jazz Chorus?
Do you want a Vibratone or a Leslie?
Do you want a Bassman 300 bass amp or a Trace Elliot?
Do you want A (2nd) Twin Reverb or a (2nd) AC30?

The bottom line is either package will give you new excellent models to play.
It's up to you to decide which ones suit your style best.
If you get both AT3 and AT Fender, then you will have access to all of Fender models inside AT3, just like X-GEAR.
And they will have the updated 3D mic placement, which I can't stress enough how much of a difference it makes.
All of the cabs come alive with it. It provides instant access to entirely new tonal dimensions to the cabs.
You will hear these models in ways you never have before, and be able to sculpt your tone in ways not even imaginable with AT2.
It makes the difference between getting kind of close to that tone from your favorite player, and absolutely nailing it dead on.
You suddenly feel like you are in control of engineering your own guitar tone, instead of picking it from a multiple choice selection.

OK, so maybe there is a definite right answer to your question after all.
You gotta get AT3 before you proceed any further. You won't regret it, and you'll never look back.

Well, to me anyways, AT3 has replaced EVERYTHING I was using before. I don't really care as much for fender since AT3. Try the demos is the best advice I can give.

It seems there is quite a lot of new stuff with AT3 after all! I will try the demo, thanks!

I don't recall a timeframe but there's at least one more announcement coming.
This is for some as yet unrevealed AmpliTube related hardware, right?
When??! :?: ! :!: 111
OK I was definitely messing with you a bit. There's something cool and you'll like it, I think. We've started to tease it here (I know, but did you NOT expect a teaser from us?): http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4 ... 7617160146

This one will go quickly though, announcement early next week. Watch that album for more and there will be a giveaway to the first that gets it (but posted to the not-yet-created Facebook discussion so don't give away the farm HERE if you think you know it already!).

Oops, better links and I guess I shouldn't really bump here because you may think it is AmpliTube-related... ;)

You can see the photo album here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4 ... 7617160146

And you can discuss/guess here: http://bit.ly/cDPOzf

The older link looks maybe to be a midi interface of some kind. Maybe for guitar?
