I just don't get it - help :)
you probably shouldnt buy one just for the apps.
if you happen to have one anyway, then its worth using

I bought the Thumbjam also. Sympatical! Like some other ones here, I'll prefer MusicStudio to compose, but it's a funny thing, with an interesting interface. I like the usage of the accelerometer for the modulation.

A few hundred dollars later ... Thumbjam, TouchOSC and RjDj installed ... I can see this being a tad addictive ... it's only a few dollars ... multiplied by ?.

some of you guys are too critical about these apps.

they are for fun/sketching out ideas/etc..

i love riding the bus and jamming out on isyn.. it has drum patterns you can program and a synthesizer you can program and play along with..

im going to try thumbjam later today. looks cool.

Anyone know of any good audio based Iphone apps? Bascially I want to sketch out a composition outside of the studio using my voice. It would be nice if it allowed multi-tracking and included some type of metronome. And obviously cutting and pasting and basic audio editing. Thanks.

These video demos are truely amazing.

think i gonna get it for my no wifi itouch and use that live alongside the kaossilators and ribbon on the electribe (that and a monotron, touch party)

other than that i haven't found anything that lets me put together a basic beat that i can build on later. technobox is good, and nanoloop is a bit too 8-bit. i'm thinking of checking out intua beatmaker now though.

would ideally like ableton live mobile edition though if they ever get around to making it

Can i get a basic 4 track audio recorder to go with the cheaper ipod touch?
Im totally new to this but very interested :D and im a grumpy old fart lol

Thanks to this thread i now own a 32g iPod :hihi: and got the 4 channel multi-tracker for 6 pounds ! works really well even with the shit mic but there are some better ones about.

Installed a free chord program and recorded some acc guitar stuff and mixed it down. :D most impressive.

TBH im so crap at music even 4 tracks is too much space for my limited content! Anyone want to buy a REAPER license im really not worthy. JOKE!!!!!

The touch screen is a good experience not needing a mouse or keyboard to tweak knobs.

I can go out and sing and record in the car by myself as im too paranoid to do it where i can be heard.

Im staring to sound like a reviewer so ill f**k off :hihi:

Go on flame me
