You can see the photo album here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=419908&id=33 7617160146

The older link looks maybe to be a midi interface of some kind. Maybe for guitar?
This http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4 ... 7617160146 works for me.

Well, it has been announced - AmpliTube iRig, AmpliTube on iPhone and an adapter too! I know I could tear myself away from solitaire and Carjack for this. Oh yeah, and all the really efficient and effective things I do with the iPhone too :)

Plug guitar into phone? Sounds odd.

I don't suppose irig takes the 285MB of Ram one instance of A3 eats up on my WinXP DAW. I fear the IK developers may have their priorities mixed up.

It seems to be something people wanted - people blow into the dang iPhone to make instrument sounds, I'd think plugging a guitar in is slightly less weird but I'm a guitar player so I'm just weird to begin with. We also do have the ability to work on more than one project at a time as far as priorities are concerned  ;)

just think, those with an iphone can now lug their guitars without having to worry about anything else!

However (always a however, right? :hihi: ) I hope I don't see some idiot trying to play guitar and drive down the freeway :x

Me now wants stealth board

I actually think this is cool. It'll be great for when I'm laying in bed playing guitar (which is a lot), or when I'm hanging out at a buddy's house and want to play someone else's guitar, or even when I'm going on vacation for a few days and don't want to be without a guitar but don't want to take my acoustic. It's definitely a bit of a niche product, but at the same time, I can see some practical applications for this.

I see you haven't met zerocrossing yet, he'll be along soon enough. Probably running al his drums through AT3 as we speak...either that he'll come along and tell us how to dip our morning donuts in AT3 :hihi:

Sorry ZC, just having fun

Carlton, not insulted at all. Different strokes for different folks though. Even though this is guitar based, it is pretty much the same as making Virtual Instruments, mixing/mastering tools, and other types of products. There's a market for it for sure. The adapter and the software... I'm pretty sure we're raising the bar for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch amp sims with this and the adapter is great and dirt cheap.

just what we need, guitarists roaming around everywhere all up in our faces with that stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid "aren't you blown away by my coolness" look on the faces jamming away (I bet they come up with a whole new line of medical instruments for removing guitars from asses). The "guitarist stare" I like to call it, as for me....I make Joe Walsh easy to watch, more fit like than anything else :hihi:

Heh, no offence taken. Yup, I'm a fan but I'm also critical too. Like on the new Stealthboard. So close... yet so far. There was a chance to make something cool and new but it doesn't seem all that interesting to me. Think about how cool it would have been if you could have gotten two parameters per pedal in a kind of "aftertouch" kind of way. Rock the pedal gets you way. Rock it while you put your weight on it and get chorus speed change at the same time. But instead my beloved IK Multimedia took the safe route and just made another set of buttons and pedals. Zoom's floor modelers are cooler controllers than the Stealthboard.

(dig the right pedal)

So yeah, I have much love for IK and Amplitube seems far and above anything else on the market right now hardware or soft. I was at a guy's house a few weeks ago and he briefly played me his AxeFX and I thought to myself "what's the fuss about?" But my love is also tough love. Here that Peter? Make me a COOL controller. Affrettatevi!
