[quote= I picked up the name Barbecutie from an old Sparks song. Definitely worth checking out. A band before their time.

Bar-B-Cutie is the name of a restaurant in Nashville that originally opened in the 1950's. Great place to eat! 8)

epointz can only be used on products you download FROM eSoundz (or www.DownloadableSoundz.com ) but not on other company's products that happen to be available as download from them. So this is sold as a box product with digital delivery which is a little different. Anyway, we're not allowed to offer it on certain products from other companies basically. There's a minimum price we have to sell it at as a dealer. But, luckily you can EARN epointz on any purchase on esoundz and put that toward other downloadable sounds.

Could you give a bit of a recap of the "rights, privileges, and benefits" of joining this group buy multiple times? I am currently in for one and will likely go a second round. I know a number of people already have done so. There is just too much to pass up in this GB. Nonetheless, it is not completely clear (and I understand that it is a moving target anyways) what we get with a second or third purchase. My current understanding is that the second purchase just doubles up on the number of sound packs we get from IK. However, you have mentioned additional sound packs from esoundz. Also, since a full SampleTank license comes with each purchase, what is the "status" of the second (or third, etc.) one. Could you clarify this?

Thanks for putting this all together.

We updated the page, posted in both threads and are sending out an email to all esoundz users about some of the choices you have as the extra bonus. So each time you join you can choose a different bonus extra. There might be more added by the time May 15th arrives when the bonus extras will be made available for download.

There's nothing you can do with the second SampleTank XT really apart from use it on another machine conveniently. It doesn't come with the ability to resell and transfer it or share the libraries or anything... so joining more than once wouldn't make any good use of doubling up on that BUT you can of course pick our more Xpansion Tank 2 titles each time you join AND if you join on www.esoundz.com you get to pick out another one from a different set as described. Does that help?

Can the drum loops from the Loops titles be exported as midi sequences into Logic -- to be played with another drum kit? Or are can they ONLY be played within Sampletank? Is it possible to control the levels/pan/efx of INDIVIDUAL drums within the drumkits in these loops? Or are they basically premixed audio files -- without any tweakability? Thanks in advance.

You don't have multichannel control of the mics with this. If you like that you'd probably like Drum Masters which does have that. You can read about that and other SR products that do that here: www.sonicreality.com/products

But what you can do is run the associated midi file that is next to the sound inside Logic and play the slices of that groove in SampleTank. You can edit the midi to do different things or you can perform with slices themselves. You CAN change the level and other editing per slice which in some ways gives you control of certain things like feel and dynamics.

Do the bonus drums come with .wav files or are they ST only?

Still no word on the mystery bonus?

Edit: I'm sorry the "Wild Card" bonus?

Thank you for the response, Squids, but I'm still confused. To use an example...Drumcore has audio drum loops. There are also midi versions of these loops which you can "drag out of Drumcore" into Logic -- and they function as normal midi regions. It is as if you had created a midi drum part from scratch -- which you are then free to manipulate in any way that midi allows. Including assigning that region to whatever midi-drumkit you'd like. Is there a functional equivalent to this with the Sampletank Xpansion loops?

Or if not, IS there any way you can simply assign an Xpansion drum loop to be played -- as is -- by a NON-Sampletank drumkit? For example, assign the pattern from the Xpansion pack loop to be played by a drumkit from Drumcore or Slate (via Kontakt player)?

Or is it strictly a pre-mixed audio loop which can ONLY be played within Sampletank -- and in which you must use the exact drum sounds and are constrained to the existing mix levels between the drums themselves, say kick to snare?

Sorry if I'm being dense in not understanding your response or clear in asking my question! I am a complete newbie when it comes to loops other than the ones I've used in Drumcore.

Thanks again -- I appreciate the time you spend here.

I am still working on putting the wild card together since it includes previously unreleased stuff. I just want to make sure the sound list is final before I reveal that one.

The bonus drums DOES come with the waves and also works in other sampler formats as well as SampleTank! Not bad for a freebie! ;)

Vocal Collection- so I pulled the trigger and got it. There are some (I say SOME) nice vocal patches. But overall, I am not impressed with the overall quality of the patches. There may be a lot of material to roll your own- but besides the really nice patches- there are a bunch of stinkers- I found a set where the lower notes were out of tune with the rest of the higher notes. The volume level is all over the place as well. I think there needs to be some TLC done to this pack to get its full potential.
I am just being honest as I was holding out to hear about this pack but couldn't wait.
I do not understand why quality of patches from one to another can vary so much in a single collection. Maybe we should all get together and start xpansion pack patch groups- all of us take some time and create our own child presets to share. I think there is a lot of potential especially in multis but this is definately a very rough diamond.
Sorry to be so blunt- but I have used up all my choices until we hit the next level- so I have time to express my thoughts.
I have started some screen recordings of me going through the patches- I may post them up for people to get an idea but might just wait to see if there are some better child presets down the road for this pack.
Thanks

I drive by them all the time! Have been meaning to eat there, but for some reason, I haven't. We love BBQ, so maybe my wife and I will get to it soon.
