(BTW, a bit off topic, but has anybody had a chance to play the Digitech SC-2 Valve Distortion pedal? I hate Digitech gear, I have for years, but this pedal sounds great. Big surprise.)
Haven't Tried the Character series yet myself - lotta them to choose from
I'm currently waiting for Mokafix's Sansamp BDDI plugin, but those Character VT Basses look quite interesting.
Although there's a 180€ difference in price. :D
But I really wanna get that deep growling feel that I haven't found in any other distortion plugin or amp sim. For bass I mainly use Softube Bass Amp Room which sounds great, but it still lacks the certain something.

Hmmmm.....

Has anybody noticed that "vandal" and "scandal" are eerily similar??

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I should talk, it's not like the aren't a lot of things that rhyme with Hink

Yes, but I refrained from saying so.

Plus, I'm thinking "hibidy" is from a song in Cinderella. Can you say copyright infringement? :hihi:

Hibidy is, it is all around us....yet nowhere. It just IS

that reminds me I need to make a :hail: animation motion, I can see it coming in handy. I can make a motion then save it and apply it to other "actors".

Some thoughts on this thread...

1: New posters who seem to join to promote a brand draw suspicion. This is not always warranted. Everyone is new some time, and probably many of us jumped right into discussion and given that pretty much all we talk about here are various products probably many of us started our KVR posting lives as supporters out of the blue for something or another. It does seem stranger when, as in the case of this poster, someone posts very sparsely, and only in support of a brand, but it does not logically follow (in the strict sense) that you've got a shill. Some people don't have a lot to say. For example, I first used Live and it NEVER clicked with me. I couldn't even discuss it reasonably now. Then I got REAPER and loved it and have only used that since. In a topic on DAWs, I'm probably going to come off as a REAPER fan because, hell, I am one! And not everyone gets involved in a wide range of discussions. Basically I'm saying here that I can think of reasonable circumstances that explain low post counts in support of a brand without there being anything nefarious going on. Maximal charity and good faith in discussion would probably be resisting the temptation to bring up the possibility that someone is posting illegitimately unless there is reasonable doubt. Of course, everyone may have their own idea of reasonable doubt.

2. I do sense a bit of a prejudice against Vandal which is peculiar, maybe a backlash at the perceived "shill" support; how many people post all the time about their love for Amplitube or Guitar Rig, I remember when TH1 launched and then had the 1.1 update a lot of people really liked it... New shiny software has a glamor to it, and people get excited about new things. Personally this is why I try to resist reviewing anything as soon as I get it in, because it takes some time to get perspective. And I'm not perfect at that, no one is. We all succumb to the honeymoon, or we get cynical, and I can't afford the latter. :)

So I apologize to Sascha specifically if I in any way implied he had a hand in the OP's support of Magix software. I didn't intend that, and it was probably unfair of me and others to jump on this as a "shady" post without really engaging the poster on the topic first. I mean, Ken from AcmeBarGig - JohnnyMcFly here - has posted that he likes Vandal, no one in their right minds would consider him a shill for Vandal, he makes amp sims...

Just some thoughts, maybe it's this crazy weather and tornadoes addling my brain, but I wanted to get that out.

But see, there is no need for all that.

Other than guys like me who are the "class clown/s", it's just too serious. I said early on if someone likes it............I say rock-on my brotha! If someone doesn't like it/or the company.......they have their rights too

Sooo... am I the only one who uses the Line-6 (POD farm) Gearbox Gold plugin, with a bazillian user presets???

Even my mom and girlfriend think it sounds "the bomb" when I blindfold them, and force them to guess what I'm playing my 'guitar hero' sounds through.

What EVERRRRRRRR...

No offense, but did it ever occur to you that your posts are often very, very long? I mean that long that I guess I'm not the only one who often does not read a lot of it or sometimes even skip it altogether. Just because of that.
Really no offense, just a friendly thought written down. :)
