Section 7.3 explains more about STRETCH.

IKMM is not specific about the models in the Tone FX.

Where would I find a manual- it wasn't part of my download- is it located somewhere else (or did it install a PDF that I wasn't aware of)?

For those that have the Vocal Collection- Very Nice has some mistuned samples in the lower range. I used the Logic tuner and manually tuned up the regions as best I could. You can get the preset in the KVR Banks section. Please tell me what you think and if I need to change it..
If this works out, I will post all my updates on the KVR banks area for everyone.

NUTS- I just noticed I turned off the reverb- guys- please turn ON the reverb if you load this and then save it. I can't edit the upload so I might upload another one (or just leave it as is)

Oh nuts.

I downloaded your file and see that there is a ".ikmp" extension. I am guessing that this means you are on a PC. The child presets on a Mac have the extension ".stip", which is what I would need, so I believe I won't be able to enjoy your preset modifications after all. :-(

But I still commend you for your effort.

It's kind of like if the Monkees were in the '80's. Cool!

Hmmmmmm. It sounds like a MIDI file played with a *very* old GM set. Or maybe it's from an '80s computer game.

Hip Hop? I must have missed some phase of the Hip Hop evolution. :)

someone requested a pop demo using the hip hop set because that person wasn't a fan of hip hop. i made an old sounding piece because the hip hop sounds are old. hip hop likes to recycle. if you're looking for hip hop... http://www.4shared.com/audio/mH09rixa/hip_it.html btw, which gm set recreates old analog like that?

Nope, this is not a mac/pc problem. The .ikmp is a Combi-preset. It goes to the Sampletank's Presets -folder. The child patches are in the Instruments folder and are .stip on both platforms.

You can load Combis from the LOAD-menu in Sampletank. Javaj probably used the Save button in the upper part of Sampletank (too many buttons are named Save anyway... there's two for FX, one for Combis, one for User presets, one for quick searches).

Cheers,
Sami

Oh my... you are oh so right. I don't know what I was thinking... except that I was expecting a .stip extension for the child presets.

JavaJ, the save buttons at the top of the SampleTank GUI are for saving setups of multiple instruments. Those are called Combis and are not child presets. You want to use the Save button on the right side of the GUI (between the RENAME and DELETE buttons).

After you have saved a child using this save, you will see the child appear in your instrument list connected to the parent.

One great thing I have to say about the combi system is that you can rename and move around the folders the presets are stored in and ST will find them (it does not use the path of the presets but only their names).
I use that function to access all combis (and presets) I have from ST, Sonik Synth 2 and SampleMoog directly from ST.
I just copied combis and moved presets/samples from their respective folders into the ST one; Sonik Synth 2 and Samplemoog simply point to it.
There's a lot of flexibility here.
