I stumbled over this thread a couple of weeks ago. Ratioinalising, studing, theorising and attempted to decipher this thread.
Finally, tonight I can reveal the light for which it can be said, not repeated but installed into the minds of all until they actually know what this thread relates to.
I am laughing at the pretence of all who believe they are kidding others, yet are still unelightened themselves as yes, it is true I found the connection by pure chance. Roaming through the IR directories on my drives my readmes took a journey through sound which signalled to me the noize I have now found and can truely hold with pride to say...
This plugin is amazing.
I have tried it in every production I have made this weekend and it has lifted the spirit of my creativity onto a new high, elevating what I here to a magnitude of self belief.

Hi All
If any one is interested in a small Echo plugin that was inspired by the Echoplex and Roland tape echos and has that ethereal quality that made them famous and has been hard to implement in a plug in check out 3 ring circuits Echolux!
It has its own unique sound closely resembling the echolplex
It comes in VST and AU formats and has been in use by a lot of people in the Music Biz some large and some small!

It took me a wile to realize this thread was a big piss take!
I thought everyone was kinda nuts till then! ha Ok i am slow to the party!
but it did entertain me once i got it! duh!
And besides my plug ins always know exactly what i want and because they are my servants and do what i say! But they also read my mind because i have the USB clairvoyance attachment!

one of the things that makes the original echoplex sound so strange and ethereal is the tape drag oddities, unless the plugin you mentioned took this into account i do not think they got as close to authentic as i have.
and besides a strat does not sound like a les paul, you use the one that you like for its unique sound. I think i captured a very haunting sound in mine that is what i liked about the original! if the one you mentioned does that then by all means use it! i just want people to try my version as another added tool in the process of making great music!
