There is indeed such a bonus for those who purchase the GB from esoundz.

Hey Squids,

I thought of another alternative bonus soundbank. HOw about offering SampleTank Rare Vintage Collection or one of the StudioPhonik banks to help push this to 6 for 1. Just a thought.

Now, that might push me over the edge. The sounds I would want from the current list I already have. :)

Ok, I hate to be the guy that doesn't read the thread, but... yeesh, it's 73 pages.

Has there been any information given about whether the sounds in these packs duplicate some of the previous Group Buys? I was in the ReTank Group Buy and the Squids Rare Instruments Group Buy (those weren't the same, were they? I have a hard time remembering), and I also have something called the "Vintage Collection" which look like it might have been part of the Rare Instruments buy based on the file dates. I also have Sonic Synth 1.1. I'm guessing at least some of those sounds are in at least some of the packs available here, and I'm wondering how much overlap there is (and where it is).

I also have some original ST1 Expansion Tanks - Symphony Strings, Piano Collection, Omnisynth, and Acoustic Drums - and I'm curious how different the ST2 versions of those might be....

From my quick browse through the Vintage Keys and a couple others I've downloaded so far, yeah, there appears to be a little bit of overlap. Not sure how much, but I recognized some of the TonyBanks-related sounds which I had gotten in another GB. But, there appears to be *plenty* of new stuff in there - at least new to me (and I've joined every GB that offered ST sounds in the past 3 years). But still, I don't mind at all since the price to get into this GB is practically nothing.

Does "world instruments" = "Squids rare vintage acoustic"? Just making sure...

Just joined the GB, first time purchasing Sampletank products. Hoping for some good things in these multisample packs...

Rich - I did a quick glance at the file names between those two specifically and didn't see any obvious matches. On the IK site there's a button at the bottom of each multi-sample section (below the audio clips) that shows all of the instrument names for each collection. That'd probably be a good way to compare to what you already have.

Has anyone else experienced a lag between the order going through, their card being charged, and actually being able to download the products? Esoundz is showing the Expansion Tank 2 Group Buy under "Products Instructions" but has nothing under "downloads" or "Product Serials." And my card has already been hit for the purchase amount.

Is this unusual for esoundz?

I did when ordering through esoundz but not with IK.

Allen at eSoundz has to assign the IKMM Serial Numbers manually.
another eSoundz buyer wrote:Hey Squids, just a quick question...I bought the group buy on eSoundz about 10 minutes ago and I don't see a serial in the user section yet. How long does this usually take to update? This is my first purchase on eSoundz. Or...do you have to wait until May 31 (or June 1st) to get the stuff?
Squids wrote:Great to hear it! Normally products purchased that are downloads on eSoundz are instant by the way. But in this case, a group buy with IK, it is a little different. The page says you can wait up to 24 hours or at least until the next business day... that is the norm. However, Allen our support manager is really cool about checking in on weekends so it is likely it will appear in your eSoundz member's area some time today! Enjoy the sounds! Thanks for getting it from www.esoundz.com

Hi, this technical question is a bit off the topic, but maybe this
is the best thread at the moment to get the answer, anyway.

Sampletank2 is as great little sampler, however one little thing has caused
problems to me, and that is the MIDI controlling. I've understood that
"automated" MIDI learn is not possible,I'm with the Live 8 and Live's own MIDI automation won't work either (why?). Programming the MIDI happens in
the following way according to the manual:

1.Click on the MIDI CTL button
2.Click on any of the knobs you want to automate
3.The MIDI CTL Association window will be displayed.Click and drag on the Controller Number field to associate a MIDI
controller number to the parameter that you want to control

Can someone elaborate to me how the point 3. should be done? I've not
managed to connect my Oxygen's controller to the Sampletank knob, what
does this "drag on the controller number to the parameter" mean here and how it is done?

I'm on the Win 7 64 bit.

Harry
