I was misled by the info on the download page. Only realised that I don't need to install jamstix 2 in order to add the expansions into J3.
A great upgrade btw. Ooohuoooo!!

No, no, you go first!!red37 wrote:i'll see what you lads figure out first.
I would backup, place in a safe location, all JS2 songs, grooves, etc, before removing JS2.
JS3 hints here, http://www.rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4949
Ralph, he say,
"It is NOT necessary to uninstall JS2 for JS3 to work. The fastest install goes like this:
- install JS3 plugin
- activate
- use 'Install Pak' to load the two JS3 stock kit RXP2 files
- click 'JS2 Migration Tool' in 'Options' to get non-sound data from any installed JS2 and Paks to be copied."

That download page is most ridiculous.
We had some ill-formatted download pages going out but they should all be corrected by now. Let me know if any issues remain.
There is no need to re-download Paks you already have. The files are identical to the original ones.

really, for a program that started out with one hell of a learning curve Ralph has really nailed it with this. The song wizard is the balls, the new gui, the samples, all simply stunning. The player styles, the quick ease of a scratch pad to being fully blown out complicated drum parts...all with ease.
Great job Ralph, thank you so much

I just hope he gets more rest than when JS2 was released, I don't think he slept for a week. The public beta was a good way to go (though I didn't participate).

If I'd had the time I would definitely have got involved, but as it is I can barely make time for music now, let alone beta testing.Hink wrote:The public beta was a good way to go (though I didn't participate).

Can anyone tell me how to get the free upgrade to Jamstix 3 for those of us who bought version 2 in recent months? I can't seem to find that information on the web site. Thanks!

Since Ralph is busy, I'll ask here for those who have followed this closer(I have tried, but seem to have missed a lot of action). Is the "Jamstix Studio" basically Jamstix with all previously available expansions? Anything else included there?
Just wondering!

What are the XL Pak links that show on my download page?

Thanks. That was the page I was reading. I guess I never counted my styles and drummers in JS2 and it's expansions, so I was curious if any extra styles or drummers were included. But my guess, based on reading that all again, is that it doesn't.Aloysius wrote:You'll find your answer here . . .koolkeys wrote:Since Ralph is busy, I'll ask here for those who have followed this closer(I have tried, but seem to have missed a lot of action).
