I often read about cinematic music, but I'm italian and I don't really know what cinematic music is.
Any help with definition or examples of such a style will be welcome.

Or music which has cinematic qualities, even if not composed specifically for motion picture. It could be music which is heavily influenced by film score gestures, techniques or seems to employ "mood painting" that can evoke imagery for the listener.djanthonyw wrote:Music for Movies / Film.

People often use it about pompous, dramatic, epic-sounding music of the kind that often accompanies battles or other highly dramatic scenes. However, in a broader sense it's used as "music that wouldn't sound out of place in the background of a film scene", which basically depends on the speaker's idea of how music and cinema connect.
