Actually looking on the site it appears I bought the XL version with

* acoustic fusion kit
* acoustic rock kit
* acoustic rock kit played with rods
* brush kit & sizzle ride
* 11 additional snares
* 100 electronic sounds

I dont remember doing that but I am not complaining.

I really would have prefered it if the JS3 "complete" set would have included all JS2 stuff in one PAK file or something. Less confusing while installing actually.

Also, what about the license codes for the JS2 paks (didn't care to read the tips page on the boards there)?

And... if I remove JS2 from my rig, will all elder projects recognize the new JS3? If not, I definitely need to backup some presets.

Is anybody else getting that big white rectangle on screen before Jamstix 3 loads properly?

Windows 7 64bit. Using unAbleton Live 8.1.3 = 32bit Host!

It's been a long while since I used jamstix 2 but I'm pretty sure it used to do something similar on my olde XP Laptop.

No nothing liek that here but I did get a crash after playing around with it for about an hour - perhaps not suprising as I probably tried every drummer and style there is

I may take a peek at the manual if I get a chance. I was panning some drums and right went left and left went right for some reason. Right-pan = left speaker.

Also, those dials (knobs) all seem to move way too freely.

Not sure if the 'velocity behavior' should really be as broken looking as it is when I draw a 'curve'.

Must look at the manual!!! :)

Aloysius: hold ALT down while turning knobs for fine control.

Compyfox: your Pak codes are the same for JS2 and JS3. If you wish to switch a project from JS2 to JS3, please do this:

- save backup copy of JS2 project
- load JS2 project
- save JS2 data via 'Save Song'
- remove JS2 from project, save and close
- reopen project (now without JS2)
- add JS3 and use 'Load Song' to load the saved JS2 data

Short German folks, sorry - my brain shut down for tonight:

Ich dachte mir soetwas schon, Ralph. Wäre es nicht trotzdem schön gewesen, alles in "ein Pak" zu packen und heraus zu bringen für diejenigen, die sowieso die größte Version haben?

Danke trotzdem.

You wouldn't believe the complaints we got with Pak downloads>100MB. It is safer for use to stick to about 100MB per download file.

Just wondering!

You'll find your answer here . . .

all features of the XL version plus:

Jamcussion expansion
MetalPak expansion
BonzoPak expansion
Total of 111 styles
Total of 25 drummers
Total sample content: 4GB
How do we know what we pre-purchased? I am mostly interested in the styles and drummers. I already received my download links and have installed Jamstix3 without issue. Looks and sounds great!!!

Also, how do I download my previous expansions. I had bought v1, v2 and all kits before 3.0

Mike, whatever level you had in JS2 you have now in JS3. In your case that is the XL level.

OK, so what is the crossgrade price to studio?

Granted, I cannot do it for a bit due to finances and a recent medical procedure that drained me of all of my money (thanks KVR again for your help), but I really love your product and use it on almost every single project.

This program absolutely amazes me. I normally use RealDrums with Band-In-A-Box when I create my songs and then move to Reaper but Jamstix gives me so much more realistic articulations. My friends and family cannot believe that the drums are samples.

I didn't bother to download or migrate the JS2 standard kits because I assumed the JS3 standard kits offer those sounds and more. Is that a correct assumption?

Post

I use Jamstix in conjunction with Stylus RMX - the two together sound simply amazing.
