i filled up all 16 slots for this retro pop piece using the hip hop set. uses just the effects that loaded with the parents. if you have a cheese allergy, you may want to avoid this.

whereas the bass break in hip it was garbage, this one is the bomb (please, someone get that)

Thanks androidlove for posting the hip-pop demo! Can't say I'm overly excited with the sounds, but then again I remember you saying there's loads of stuff in that lib, so I might just pick it anyway (need to choose both a 4th and a 5th set).

Btw, the demo gives me Leisure Suit Larry flashbacks.

Like the demo or not, hip hop instruments is awesome IMO, some great sounds in there.

In fact, all the multisample packs I've got are ace.

The only disappointment for me has been 1 loop pack (Modern Tech Rap). All the construction kits are present and correct (in the Menu Map Groove folder) but I expected to find these same kits "deconstructed" in the Loops and Slices folder and this is not the case, nothing there relates to the construction kits at all, just some misc beats and scratches that are not in the construction kits. Weird and as I said, disappointing.

umm I have the World insts, World groove, Vocal collection and Elec. drums. thinking about piano or vintage keys maybe. not sure

Both of those are good choices. Which do you think you have more of a need for? There are some cool pianos in that one, not just standard fare, but Vintage Keys is great too. Honestly I think you'll end up with both anyway the way things tend to pick up when it is a sure 5x1 like this.

I think it's probably a good idea to make a second purchase. I do like a lot of these sets and I haven't really got into the loops quite yet! since I'm a bass player by trade (and I play decent guitar and drums) I'm more apt to get the keys and orchestral stuff but some of the loops look really useful. decisions decisions!
