regarding loading last saved preset:

if you open settings.spt file in a text editor you can change

<LoadLastPreset: 0, int>

to

<LoadLastPreset: 1, int>

this will tell plug-in to remember it's state as a file preset on closing and load it on start-up.

We were intending to make this the default behavior BTW, but we found in some hosts when you close a project and reopen it, the active preset name is displayed as "last saved" instead of the real active preset name. The settings as retained correctly, but the naming was confusing some beta testers so we decided not to use this as the default. However IMHO it is a very cool feature if you can accept the possibility of loosing the easy ability of knowing what preset was used in your host session when you open it again at some later time...

Why not just do what AAR does...

Save a preset, and name it Autoload, and that preset will load by default.

I installed Snow Leopard on my Macbook today, now i get an ID mismatch when opening Aether, it's not authorized anymore. Entering my Serial doesn't solve the issue. Any ideas?

only so many hours in the day... I spent of 22 working yesterday, 18 the day before etc... and say an average of 12-16 for the last 9 months...
so yes I agree, and I will get to it...
product first though. That is what matters most. Your audience is not going to see our website, right? but they will hear our reverb. Hence priorities.
but now that it is done, yes, I am working on it.
order is:
preset lists
new audio demos
manual
the rest...

I understand that you must be incredibly busy at the moment.
Products as good as Aether do not get made without a lot of hard work
and dedication.
My suggestion is to simply remove any links to the forums on your
website until you find the time to either fix or delete them.
Or replace them with a link to an "official" 2 C Audio thread here on KvR.

It's just not a "good look" to click on the forum link and be presented
with a "broken" forum.
It looks unprofessional and I know that is simply not the case.
You and your amazing products deserve better than that.

Aether 1.5 is amazing!

Hi guys,

I'm back from Costa Rica. I'm going to continue working on the Aether 1.5 manual this week. You can see the proposed table of contents in the draft posted last week. Are there any other areas anyone might like some more insight into for the "getting deeper" section? This is sort of the tutorial section.

We will make some videos as well.

Regarding web, as mentioned now that 1.5 is shipping, we have some time to make web improvements too. You will see large improvements to the 2CAudio site over the next month or two.

Of course we have some additional exciting products in development as well.

Can anyone comment on the plate and/or percussion presets in the preset packs? Relative to the factory stuff? I don't have much of a budget so anything I do get, I want to be excellent and worthwhile - certainly Aether is, and the factory library is pretty awesome, which is the only way I think I'd even consider purchasing FX presets ...

Probably the ER stuff - I think it even mentions that this will be discussed further in the draft. Specifically with that - it's mentioned that, using the ER engine only and feeding an send channel can work, I've done this in a few cases but pretty sure I'm missing a lot of the nuances in making this really shine. I wonder if a few of the concepts discussed there might just snap into place a little more if there were some kind of demonstration.

Really like the new manual so far, demystifies a lot of things!

- A modifier key to deselect all categories except the one clicked at one go.

- A more flexible tree structure allowing user categories and sub categories, and allowing creating new sub-branches without changing older ones.

- Besides alphabetical, auto sorting by time or basic type.

- Indication of the basic type in the browser window.
