so here we go:
1. blah blah blah

of course these feature requests are only suggestions, i love synth1 just the way it is, but as you are here finally, in contact with us, i just had to try ...
thank you again, ichiro!

Just go and buy a commercial synth with all the features you desire and leave the poor guy alone

Don't get me wrong, I'm for compatibility also .. but not 100%
I would choose slightly improoved features of Synth1 over 100% compatibility with older versions.
Personally, every time I see a Synth1 update, I hope for a sound engine upgrade!
個人的に、Synth1アップデートを見るときはいつも、私は音のエンジンアップグレードを期待します!
I welcome slightly improved features of Synth1 even if compatibility with older versions is not at 100%
旧式のバージョンとの互換性が100%でなくても、私はSynth1のわずかに改良された特徴を歓迎します。

nobody, don't be afraid, it was just intended to reflect, if of course you don't mind, a certain state of mindyellowfever wrote:not at all. And, mind you, in the event you where a fisherman, that meant in the particular case you would have been perfectly qualified to sell fish(es)
Again, don't worry, it's close to midnight here and i obviously need to have a sleep very soon...

And the point of departure might very well be the backward compatibility issue, IMHO.pc999 wrote:...Specially since we are getting so many good additions.

what a unnecessary handful of bullcrap ... it's not that we're demanding ichiro in any way, he's free to ignore all the fr's, he's a grown up man ... as you've not might have noticed:yellowfever wrote:not at all. Just think the guy is getting swamped with ludicrously obscene amounts of 'requests'. Just give him a break is all I'm saying. And who you calling a clown??Krakatau wrote:BTW ...are you a fisherman ?
- he did update synth1 heavily, so he himelf actually decided to do so (if he wouldn't have wanted to, he simply wouldn't have done it, regardless of whatever fr's).
- a lot of the fr's are going along with requests for a donation button and a general massive praise by the users, so he's stuffed with respect ...
sooo, in the end:
what again was the useful you've contributed to this thread, compared to most others here? right, thought so ...

ok, then i missunderstood this. but you've quoted me (and only me) as well as you've edited _my_fr's to "blah blah", so it's at least a tiny bit understandable that i take it you meant me, isn't it?yellowfever wrote:Sorry, I don't understand this?brok landers wrote:yeah, well - just as you edited (marked it for you)...

and my bit of sarcasm should be quite noticable in my bump (while there's quite some portion of selfishness left, it's only that i actually stand to it) ...
edit:
and for you to understand why i bumped it: it's a fact that this thread is rapidly growing, and i wanted my fr's as well as the bugreport at least to be read by ichiro, that's why i bumped it (wether or not he's ignoring it or feels the same way doesn't matter).

Marvellous synth by the way Ichiro. Loving it as it is and I would be more than happy to add to the donate button request and donate some cold hard cash.

please guys dont do that in this thread.
Daichi chose to update synth1 and its normal to write what kind of things we would like to see and im sure that he is interested with our opinions too ,its not like we forced him to come back after 4 years. He wants to update synth so lets tell him what would be great to have in it.Its his decision to update it,some guys kinda start to feel sorry for him because he did all that for free... BUT maybe he just treats it differently and he doesnt do it for money and maybe he have great paid job so he doesnt need to do this for money and he does that because he likes to do it.Of course it would be nice to pay him for what he did ,i dont know japanese language but someone could ask him on PM about paypal button.
Its not selfish to post requests ,its completely normal.
From my experience its actually better if you know what people want and you work on it,it gives you motivation.

This might help Mr Todabrok landers wrote:bugreport v.1.10:
bug 01:
- even if the chorus level is set to 0, the delay recieves the chorus output (wet only, not the dry signal) this is so on all 3 chorus modes.
one has to switch off the chorus in order to kill the chorussed wet-only-output from the delays input. differently spoken:
the level slider of the chorus does adjust the dry signal of the chorus mixer.
but it should let pass the dry signal unaltered, and adjust only the wet signal of the chorus mixer, where 0 means, only the dry signal feeds the delay, and max means, 50:50 dry/wet signal (or whatever max ratio ichiro has intended here) feeds the delay.
to recreate this bug, do the following:
load this patch:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2633218/chorus_bug_01.zip
you will hear that the delay only recieves the wet signal of the chorus, even though the level of the chorus is 0. if you set the feedback of the chorus to 0, there's no difference, as the dry signal of the chorus isn't present, but the wet only signal of the chorus mixer, which, if the feedback is 0, needs the original dry signal, to get the desired chorus fx.
bug 02:
- if the chorus is in 4 stage mode, the pingpong delay is screwed up (even if the level of the chorus is 0. same problem as above). the delay is not altering the sides anymore, i assume this is because a strange crossfeed in the chorus.
to recreate this bug, do the following:
load this patch:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2633218/chorus_bug_02.zip
play it with short notes. notice that the delay isn't exclusiveley on one side with each tap. turn off the chorus with the switch to hear how the delay should behave the right way.
please anyone confirm.

Sorry, but I disagree. Because the "sound", and the cheesyness is what Synth1 got so popular in the first place.3ee wrote: Personally, every time I see a Synth1 update, I hope for a sound engine upgrade!
So please, no drastic changes - else rather create a new synth, but this is not Synth1 anymore.
