yea, i use rolls and flams. i didn't know that's what this was about
It's also about kicks and snares, and hi-hat grooves. Playing slices from a good sounding groove can produce a really good sounding drum track. You can even use them to double another drum track (which maybe doesn't sound as realistic as you might want it) and add a further sense of realism. 8)

???
Not sure what you mean.

2900 users
1100 left to 6x1

Which means 1100/22 = 50

i.e. We only need 50 new signups a day in order to hit 4000 and get 6x1

And yes, we have been averaging about 100 a day, so we should be good to go. :-)

OK if you don't have anything else. Can't speak about the loop packs, maybe they are ok, but unless those sounds have been totally redone... been their, done that, not going back. Even something like Hypersonic or the stock Cubase 4/5 sounds are head and shoulders better.

This is on the level of maybe Plugsounds. Not terrible, but you don't have to look too hard for something better. This was nice -like ten years ago.

zedd- have to agree with you. Got a couple of LD titles, and although they are detailed, they just are clunky and useless and don't sit well in a mix or even trigger that well. Kinda like a built in delay or something. Unless their other titles are free -no thanks. Maybe I picked the wrong titles. (Jazz bass and some electric guitar.)

Pettinhouse -recently found these - top notch stuff. Even the freebies go beautifully in a mix.
Wow! Really?! I think there is some very original sounds here in the "vintage" category and the cinematik sounds are great!! So, by your logic, what sounded good 7 years ago sounds shite today? Higher quality samples are out there sure, but that is not the point here IMO. This is a niche product with it's own sound. It's apples to oranges comparison and in a mix, there is room for both :D

Ha! Well I'm usually trying to achieve something the sounds like it came out of 1965-1975, so realism is something that is important in my drum tracks. But I am well aware that probably 90% of other composers (and GB participants) are not going for that kind of sound.

I joined again, i messed up with the jam points!!!! I put the promo code in but it didn't take anything off the amount!!!!:-o I sent IK a message, i hope they help me make this right. I had to pull money over to checking just to make sure I had enough for the full amount. Have you guys ever dealt with ik multimedia in this way?

No, sorry. I would be interested in hearing how it goes, though.

For future reference, for anyone else using Jam Points, after entering your promo code you will see the amount of the Jam Points deducted from the total before you okay the purchase. This should show up as soon as you enter the promo code, actually.

Just in case it might make a difference, Jamie, I would recommend NOT selecting and downloading any of your packs until you've consulted with IK. If they see you have not chosen any items then they may just refund your entire order, and then you can start again and use the Jam Points.

Thanks zedd, I just figured it would be taken off at the end. I have already downloaded 4 of the 5 titles. Didn't think about it that way :? The refund. I hope they work it out. Guess you live and learn, I don't mind spending money on them but if i was to spend the full amount i would have went through esoundz. I will post back after i hear from them. But a heads up to anyone else, make sure the total amount is adjusted!!!

If for any reason they can't refund any money, I would recommend suggesting something else to them... request that you be allowed to join the GB a second time, and this time using 100% Jam Points to make up for the earlier error. And then you'd end up with 10 packs (actually 12 or more by the time this finishes). Seems reasonable to me.

Will Do Zedd. This really is one hell of a buy, i have been playing with the sounds from the 1st time I joined the GB and they are great. I am really happy, there has been many times that I have spent 50-100 dollars and really wished i hadn't. This one is great and with joining the second time(and hopefully using jampoints) it is icing on the cake.
