I heard the Frankie one the other day for the first time since the 80s, and I have to say, despite the reverb that's probably still not at RT60, it's a cracking song. The other two are, and always were, utter crap.

It was the photo of Bob Todd that confused me...shouldn't you have used a gargoyle? :hihi:

And I'm guessing the last one's a reference to Dupla Prague Away Kit?

I worked with Norman Watt-Roy's brother Garth a few years back and he told me a little about the sessions for that album.

Basically said the studio had a revolving door letting session players in and out. He said that that his brother and the Blockheads' drummer (forget his name) laid down drum and bass parts for all the tracks, the band laid down their instrumental parts, various session musicians laid down their parts, and Trevor Horn just took the pieces he liked and so no one was really that sure what their final input on the tracks was because they were so chopped up.

I think they liked working with him though.

I thought it would be quick, but I barely had time to make myself a coffee inbetween posts.

Care to expand, for the benefit of the other players?

Black Sea, Oranges and Lemons and something about drumsticks for the other one. :hihi:

Edit: 'Drums and Wires' for the 3rd one.
