All users delete the 1.5.0 installer and save your own presets to a different location.
Download and install 1.5.1 and run the e-licencer..

test machine:

Q6600 Windows 7 32bit
Ati Radeon 512mb Graphics
Largo 1.5.1
Soanr 8pe/Studio One Pro Beta

cpu hit = 2-3% idle
cpu hit = init program whilst playing notes 3-4%

Highest cpu hit on long release presets = 12-18%

waiting for results from XP beta testers and will post results here.

Thanks

Rob

Slow GUI wasn't a problem for me(more sluggish than other synths, but not as others complaining).
But i still have high CPU spikes while adjusting parameters. This is my main problem.

Igro i'll post your specs on the beta list and get back to you.
Thank you Rob! :)
Also, if parameters are automated, then CPU will be killed after the GUI opening(due to all those parameter animations.) Hope this info is very important as well.

Post

OK. It's not a Largo fault with those CPU spikes! I have something wrong with my laptop. I have similar problem with some other graphic and video.

Rob, tell please to the waldorf beta testers this please. My laptop have some other problems.

So what about us mac bods?! I still have terrible problems with Largo 1.5.0 here. I've been informed there won't be much happening till the Wave v3 is done, but, if that is how these things work I will not be going anywhere near Wave at all. Please fix what you started before releasing new software! Same reproducible problems for me every time.

1 - Arp sync drifts randomly
2 - Arp first note does not trigger (the note triggers, but not the arp sequence)
3 - Very sluggish patch change which seems to involve FXB and FXP in Logic? (Am I missing something here?)
4- The alpha numeric keyboard clearly conflicts with the plugin. Transport controls work after Hefty delays and spinning beach balls odd graphic glitches concerning the playhead etc.

Please feel free to correct me on any points above, but this highly anticipated plugin has yet to work on my rock solid system. I have plugins from many vendors and whilst they have there own issues, none of them are arp lock or slow gui.

I find it hard to believe that the paying customer is expected to have to wait for a solution for this long. If I was a beta tester with a freebie, I'd have no complaint whatsoever! But thats not the case.

Specs again for reference

Mac Pro Dual Quad 3Ghz
12 GB RAM
Logic 9.1.1
RME FF800 (Latest Drivers)
SL 10.6.4

Also Core 2 Duo Macbook with same os / logic, same problems.

I guess it would make sense for you to join the Waldorf user forum:

Most of the beta testers and sometimes even Wolfram Franke (the lead programmer) himself are posting there from time to time.

I think it even better to send letter to the waldorf support. They response during a few days.

Apparently, the problems are being addressed but no mention as to when this will happen. I can't believe how long it's been. What was the date of my last post(and it goes on well before that)? I won't be spending another penny on Waldorf gear. Lousy, shambles of a company that have been lying to me for well over a year and a half now. At first they would not admit the problems, it must be my computer (all three of my Macs  ) but when PPG V3 came out and worked nice on my system, there was no hiding then. I keep getting palmed off with 'it's coming shortly' and excuses. I've been patient and polite, but all that's run out now I'm afraid. Bunch of thieves.

Post

Its bad of them indeed, bugs in largo are not even subtle or avoidable & yet they have chosen to simply burry heads in the sand for over a year.

Post

I would be interested in news regarding these problems, too. :?
