Thanks samicide. One cool thing I discovered when doing the rhythm was to get the tone with RevolutionZ - do a little high pass EQ - and something new for me . . . I tried putting the rhythm guitar through a typical reverb to push it back in the mix. But because the AMP SIM is bass heavy (and I wanted the guitars up front anyway) it was all getting too muddy. I found the solution was to use early reflections only from an ambient reverb and no reverb tail. It worked how I wanted it to anyway!!!

Test Mix 1 10:06pm

no external effects or compression, just a quick lo eq cut and a little reverb just in the opening, and a little delay on the outro solo (cubase delay) guitar was plugged directly into the soundcard

Would you please try IR CAB off, using other cab first in 96KHz.

Fender clean, marshall clean, jmp drive, jcm drive, modern drive and modern drive II

idolo1co, just click on the amp logo/label in the top half of the main interface, and it toggles to the 'cabinet section.'

Playback and mixdown (at 32-96) without IR (Impulse Response Cabinets) seems to sound exactly the same.

Playback and mixdown (at 32-96) with IR:

Playback functions as you would expect. Change an IR and the sound changes.

However;

When I export (mix down) at 32-96, the sound is always the same no matter which IR is selected. It is like RevolutionZ defaults to just one type of IR when mixing down at this sample rate.

thanks mrblitz, I have to make a correction about something, the bass (Trilogy) had guitar rig 4 on it but it wasn't adding anything that I couldn't have gotten from Revz, it was just out of habit. it also had Izotope Alloy on it. maybe I'll switch it out later but it probably wouldn't be noticeable. eventually this will be longer with vocals and another part, and more solos
