have questions been asked?

;)
To summarise:

The Fex has posted three sets of 11 phrases, the numbers 1 to 11 (number 3 in two parts, some numbers have dates next to them) followed by a date, plus some other pictorial/verbal clues (which may or may not relate to any or all of the above) including some stuff about William Holden, someone who may possibly have been in the Sopranos, and the Russian word for 'onion'. Still working on the rest, but my time here is limited, today especially.

Any quiz where I have to copy and paste bits of information into a spreadsheet in order to try and make sense of them is probably a bit over the top. I suspect The Fex spends the rest of his time re-writing the plot to 'Lost' because the original one isn't complicated enough for him.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. I'll take number '7' please, Mr. F.
Pithy apothegm goeth here...

What 'P' will I be if The Fex's questions don't end up having some really clever answers. And if you're a Brit it's normally followed by "off".

In that case i'll have an 'iss' as well.

Phew. I was starting to think that no-one was paying attention....
Blank_Frank wrote:including some stuff about William Holden
Yes.... to be honest, this is just an informed guess, but I think Holden must be the one....
Blank_Frank wrote:someone who may possibly have been in the Sopranos
Let's be quite clear about this.... he WAS in the Sopranos. He's an actor, see.
Blank_Frank wrote:and the Russian word for 'onion'.
Did I really post that? I had no idea! :D
There are no onions in 2. There would be onions in 1, no doubt. 2 might cry, but not because of onions.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to, but it sounds like you're enjoying yourself!

Consider yourself lucky that I didn't post the entire text in the original Greek.

You can skip the introduction if you like. :D

From 7? That would have to be 'pulled'. No other words in 7 start with P.
Resonator63 wrote:In that case i'll have an 'iss' as well.
Ah, now, that only occurs in 1, in the word 'kissing'.
I can give you a P from 1, if you'd prefer. There are four of them. I can't list all four here, or you could use them to Google the answer.

Wait.... I know this one....

But not one of the main ones, so that doesn't help.

Looks like Gary Numan stuck in a lift. Probably with a cryptic-crossword compiler, which is what this is beginning to feel like...

My spreadsheet isn't helping. How about number 3? Both parts would be nice!

Hmmm.... he was born into North Jersey mafia royalty, he was Meadow Soprano's boyfriend for a while, and he was murdered on her father's advice.... I guess you're not a Sopranos fan?

That would have to be a very young Gary Numan. No, I told you, he's an actor....

Yes, but think how satisfying it will be for Frank when he finally gets it!

Yes, Gary. Everything's always been about you.

No, not really.

Well done. The actor's name is one of many clues to the character's name, and the character's name is 2.
