So, on this thread I've seen some people with issues. I've seen others who have the "gimme gimme gimme" syndrome that we all get from time to time ;). And I've seen people who just like to chat about drums.

But I haven't seen a whole lot of people mention what they actually thought of the product!! *

*Granted there's a LOT of pages and I haven't read NEARLY all of them....

But, let me say that although I had my doubts during the process (it was a little convoluted and at times more than a little confusing and even a little maddening!), now that I have the group buy in it's entirety...

I have been VERY happy with the sounds. The reverbs were a nice plus. I've been using them quite a bit. And the loops were also a nice addition.

But the drum sets have been quite impressive. I like some more than others, of course. But they sound SO realistic compared to what I used in the "old days" (if we weren't working with a real drummer), that I don't even MISS the real drummer! ;)

So...overall...well done Sonic Reality! It was definitely worth the hundred dollars I paid. I can't even imagine needing more drum sounds (until the next group buy, anyway)

Thanks Tull!

Sometimes I feel like the Giving Tree. Anyone ever read that book? But if I do I know it's my own fault so no biggie. We just try to go over the top but sometimes find it just to be overwhelming when it is complex as this... ie doing kits in GM,iMAP and V-Drums etc. But, the good thing is that these are LIVING products (or at least the Drum Masters 2 part is) and there will be further enhancements still... not to mention a TON that you can do on your own, perhaps some useful tips and tricks videos that can help make that happen. It is actually MUCH easier for you to make your on hybrid kit to your liking than it is to try to make them so they please all. These hybrids are kind of like a head start on doing your own... so you can see what it's like swapping out a snare or kick or changing the tuning of the toms or anything else... it's INFINITE! (hence the name).

Anyway, because I am a Squids I am going to look into any issues with the cherry on top of the cherry kits and while I do I will see about putting an extra 8 kits in at that time.

20 kits, 10 kits etc. it doesn't matter. They are all FREE! Let us all please be gracious and don't offend our host but thank him for his generous offer for a an incredible Group Buy again and again time after time. Look around and see what's out there, yes a lot of good products are available. But nothing that compares with the value and customer service you get from Esoundz. It's not just Squids out there working, but a large company with a group of dedicated professional individuals such as Allen who bust their asses while we're having fun in the studio to please our (I want it now daddy) demands. Any one want to trade jobs? I don't... :D

i've already thanked Squids and many times (on vdrums forum too !) and all my messages were always for helping the community and squids himself for issues... never to be negative... for example, on vdrums forum, vdrummers were impatient for the new hihat script and i replied that Squids promised this one and he always hold his promises...

when i say there's 12 hybrid kits and not 20, i think it's a new issue, like referencing ones... no one is perfect, and particularly me !!!

i've done hybrid kits myself, but the ones made by squids are "signature hybrid kits" !!! i love them !

David, what makes you think I was directing this at you? Incidentally I wasn't, but directing my comments to anyone that felt slighted in some way that the freebies didn't live up to, not delivered in a timely manner or whatever. I believe what happens on a large forum as this one, it's easy to be misinterpreted and then others especially new ones, might expect a certain expectation and feel disappointed. From my view, they are the icing on the cake and not the reason why I bought into this GB. I believe everyone got what they initially paid for and them some at a ridiculous low price. I've been a participant of countless GB's and purchases from Esoundz, so many that it's getting to the point that I already own the majority of the freebies. For instance, on the 5 free USD II multi tracks as a bonus, I think I already owned them before..

As Squids said before that we can make are own kits better to suite our own tastes is a great suggestion and I'm sure those who need help as me for one, can email for help until the manual is available. If someone feels they have a question, they should email Allen. I don't know how the hell he does it but he'll have an answer for you literally within minutes. Man is he fast! This forum should be about the technical part, not when is this or that coming. It's negative energy! There is always a solution to any problem and I've had my share all resolved by Squids and Allen via Email. I own software from many companies and have had issues. This past one took months to resolve. It took 3 days just to get back a response from my initial email, same with other ones (I don't want to bash any Company) I'm sure most here have had similar issues or problems. Here it always gets resolved fast and to your satisfaction. Additionally I believe Esoundz was one of the companies that offered downloads rather than the boxed version of a products at a reduced price saving me time and money. Now I see other companies are offering downloads at a lesser price than the box version...Sony, IK, NI, Reason, Cakewalk, etc, they've all jumped on board with this.

I don't write this as a testimonial nor to criticize any person's comments but as a person who's is a satisfied happy customer. Some of may be new here and have some doubts but I will say this, they do things that are not practiced by most retail stores, manufacturer's or distributors. Go and try to talk to any CEO from most companies and tell them that you have a problem. OK time to step off my soapbox…. :D :)

I think we all know how hard you worked on this project BUT..a giving tree? It just seems like good business that if you say "on the 30TH" it's on the 30th..or "on Friday" it happens on Friday, or if you say "20" there are 20..I think for the future you should not say anything about extras or delivery dates, that way no one will question you..tell people you will post when it will be available and ONLY post when it is REALLY available. I don't think it is any different then a buyer wanting a tracking # so they know when their gear will arrive, if ups did not deliver when they said they would over and over people would get upset...so I don't think it is that people are impatient, or want more and more..they just want what they were offered and paid for on the date it was promised..thats all!!! I am not trying to be an ass at all, I just thought that I would say what a lot of people are thinking but will not..it does not mean I dont love your drums..because I do!! ok..flame away people!!

jarrydee nobody paid for them. They were the extra bonus for the bonus. All the product that was paid for was delivered when said. Some one correct me if I am wrong on this one. If that were the case, then you'd be 100% right.

This is a fair observation. Also, please realize that some of us may be entering Group Buys specifically FOR a certain bonus :) It usually all works out and well...Squids and eSoundz have my business anyway (platinum member) but this does need to get sorted to avoid future frustration. I always worry that it gives new customers the wrong impression.

Dave is a GREAT salesperson and yes, eSquidz DO deliver in the end but some acceptance of criticism and advise is par for course. We're not asking for perfection; just honest delivery times :) Don't worry...we still got mad love for ya  :D

Anyway.... +1 on the AMAZING drum sounds. Sonic Reality are NO DOUBT among the best at sampling drums :tu:

Speaking of "deliveries", is the Neil Peart kit still on for Q2? 6 weeks left....

Nobody paid for them but what I was getting at was...don't tell people they will be RECEIVING it at a certain time...and don't tell people that X number will be FREE...that way people will not be expecting it and then will have no reason to complain..thats all I was saying..If I told you that I was going to give you a free car with your boat purchases and you will receive it on the 10th. I thin you would be waiting for it even though it was free..and what if the boat you paid for was a week late? get what I am saying?..I think it would stop a lot of complaining and Squids would have less weight on his shoulders, he would not have to worry about a lot of this stuff then...or maybe I am just plane wrong..oh well...great drums anyway...

If your mortgage is due on the 1st of the month and the mortgage company charges you a late fee if received after the 15th of the month and they receive your payment on the 14th of the month. Are you late? .... and yes the best drums on the market :D ... case closed :hihi:

I will have the Drum Masters 2 Manual for you to dig into VERY soon... as Drum Masters 2 Multitrack and Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits are being released this coming week... so will the manual. Might help.
Just wondering when this manual might be available? It definitely will be of help I am sure so I'd be keen to get hold of it as soon as it comes online.

Thanks,
Mark
