I can only assume so. The sound is different to just having the Cab switch turned off. It seems to be defaulting to a particular Cab sound that I could not find directly in Preset drop down list.ronaldpassion wrote:Aloysius

yes no doubt!mrblitz000 wrote:and a big thanks again to Ronald Passion!
and to Ronald, if you want to add my sound clip to the Revz page I'll send you a higher quality mp3 if you want. The guitars are 100% RevolotuionZ with no external eq or compression except a quick lot cut from the onboard cubase eq
(the solo has a few extra cuts in the high mids and a hint of cubase delay/verb, same with the intro, but there's no reverb at all or anything else on the rhythms)

Guyz!
Basically, what do you need when having guitar record???
For ex (me):
- Amp Sims has 2 channels at least, Clean and Drive
- Cab sim, 2 channel would be great
- Tuner would be +1.
The rest reverb or other FX will put later in mixing process.
Very please give input!

How about a built in Stereoizer? Mono compatible like STThick (link below).
Basic concept:
1. Make two additional copies of the track
2. Delay the copies slightly
3. Pan one of the copies full left and the other full right
4. Make one of the copies out-of-phase so that the effect doesn't sound strange in mono.
Stereoizers with modulation on one side are a BAD idea IMHO. They sound strange if you can only hear the left or right loud-speaker etc.
When I use STThick, I always have to balance the sides again. Some technical problem. Maybe you could make the output balanced.

Yes! Stereo widening (converting Mono to 'stereo'). The concept (idea) is quite simple. I think if you download that Plugin (STThick) you will understand it in minutes. Simple and effective.
Just an idea for you to think about.

To be honest, I'd like it to stay simple
There are enough plugins out there I could use for stereo widening.. and why not just record the same phrase twice?
Or is there any creative artistic background to it?

A guitar amp should be good at:
1. Sound
2. Sound
3. Sound
4. Lowest possible CPU-load
5. Good handling (GUI, knobs etc. )

You know the answer:Aloysius wrote: Why?
There's a manifold of plugins here which give you all kinds of additional effects like phaser, chorus, compressors, stereoizers etc. etc.. You can use these all as inserts before or after your ampsim.
IMO it is a better strategy to let every single plugin be an expert-plugin in its core-use. That means: An amp sim should be good at "amplifier simulation".
I don't like "all in one plugins". Better a simple one purpose plugin, which does its job in an awesome way.

Reminds me a bit of Amplitube 3. I really, really, really like the sound of some of the amps, but the whole package is just way too much.enroe wrote:Aloysius wrote: I don't like "all in one plugins". Better a simple one purpose plugin, which does its job in an awesome way.
It's sluggish, it's fat and I don't really think that the effects are any better than those you can find, like, around here (mokafix.. arrr).
With maybe just 2, or 3 amps and a fully working cpu and memory friendly engine/carriage (:>) I would have bought it. But like this. Just no.

Ageed, it's a lot easier to find a decent flanger effect then it is to find a good high gain sound.
a simple accurate tuner would be sweet.
