But he was the Prime Minister. If I'd said "the official P.M. who died next door," then you might have a point. As it is, I'm fining you 100 points for being argumentative.

Hey, I'm winning! :D

Post

100 points deduction.That's a bit harsh.
Make it 99
:hihi:

Post

Very well. 99 points from hakey for being argumentative. 99 points from Res for same.

Post

Nope, Disraeli was the First Lord of the Treasury and you're not winning Fex. ;)

---

An ex girlfriend had an album the cover of which she claimed had originally been scratch and sniff and had smelled fruity. It was signed by an artist. The singer named in the album title had spent time in New York, Berlin, Paris and London, but, surprisingly, claimed that which part of a northern industrial city was the most cosmopolitan place that she had lived?

Post

Hulme, Manchester.

And Disraeli was also the P.M., so minus 99 for you.

I'm winning now. :p

Post

Hulme is the right answer.

The album was 'The Velvet Underground And Nico'. On the cover there is a picture of a banana, signed by And Warhol (their producer). Nico lived for a while in Hulme, Manchester.

Fail. Another pedantry point for me.

Andy Warhol was formally credited as their producer.

I think he was pointing out the spelling mistake. The Fex has a big chart in his room, and he's sticking gold stars on it, and laughing. Leave him be, he's happy enough (apart from the curfew, obviously).
Pithy apothegm goeth here...

Though I don't see a spelling mistake?

I think Fex was referring to the controversy over how much artistic input, or technical production Warhol was responsible for - which, by all accounts, is none. But he did finance the album and I never claimed that he was their 'technical producer'.
Sterling Morrison described Warhol as the album's producer "in the sense of producing a film. We used some of his money and our money...Andy was the producer but we were the "executive producers".

EDIT  I do see the spelling mistake now!

Too late. Minus 99 points for arguing.

And the next question is:

What song am I thinking of now?

This could take a while...

It can't, unfortunately. Red-shirts are targeting the electricity supply. Parts of the city are already without power. The government has suspended freedom of the press, and I have to assume that the internet is next. So take your best guess, and be quick about it....

I predict a riot?

I don't think I know that one. Who's it by?
