Hm this is so weird.. 
I will not discuss it any further as I don't want you to lose interest in digging up gems, but must say that I just don't understand what the trouble could be with writing the name of the app the link is for to aid people using forum search when the whole point is for people to find stuff no? I mean even in your posts refusing to do so is written enough words for a 100 links.

umm, usually it seems the app the link is for is either in the link or on the page bro...not to be a buzzkill or anything, but at this point, 500 pages plus later it's kinda a daunting task!!!
generally, if the app name isn't in the link, it's on the page...i mean, sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not...but like, when you're mining the net like i do looking for stuff, i may have 30 browser tabs open, and i gets all confused to begin with, so....
that and my inherent lazyness...
i figure if folks wanna go mining, all the power to them....i hadn't thought about making this thing searchable, but i do know that google refers to this thread alot if searching for specific apps. even if i DID go back and add names at this point, not sure if it'd really help, cuz unless ya know the name of the app you're looking for, how are ya gonna search it?
google, bro...i realize that being able to have kvr search itself would be great, but at this point, it'd be kinda futile, i think, and the mere thought of it is enough to make me shudder!
so...my 'umble suggestion, since the kvr database is actually so full of so many dead links, many of which are to things we've recovered in this here thread, that the point may be moot, and it's easier and quicker for all involved just to use google.
maybe, maybe not...

i barely have time to even do what i do to begin with, and this thread is like .... i dunno what.
if one takes the time to mine thru these pages, they'll find some unbelievable things, for sure...some of which, by now, have vanished again i'm sure...and i appreciate the gratitude i've been shown for trying to post stuff, but man...this job is bigger than obama trying to undo bush...i'm afraid it ain't gonna happen, ya know?

Dont mean to be disrespectful to anyone but this thread has become like a rubbish tip, sure there might be some hidden gems but you have to search through all the trash. Just my opinion I know, but I think there is far too much trash being posted on this thread. If you have tried something yourself and geniunely believe it is of use to someone else then by all means posts it, but if you have not checked it out yourself then you could be posting total junk, and if my harddrive is fed anymore junk it is going to end up on prozac.

you don't need the stuff here, you don't care to explore the things we find, cool, don't bother. ya'll are complaining, fine, do it up...don't matter to me.
there have been quite literally thousands of vst/vsti's alone recovered thru this thread by a bunch of folks, and many of us have shared where possible whatever folks have asked for and searched for. yes, there have been some cases where there are posts of marginal use to most, my gig isn't making you or anyone happy, my gig is finding obscurities so folks can decide if they wanna check 'em out.

with google you can find info on almost anything posted here, and whether it is or is not something one wants to add to the arsenal. out of the 90+ gigs of stuff i've found so far, i've tried over 80% of it and found it either useful or entertaining...that's me. you ain't me. that's all good.
but rather than bitch about the biggest fugging vst/music soft resource on the web, why not try and contribute to it in a positive way?
as for what happened to the original peeps, dreaddd is missing in action and presumed in milan, spacedad and runbeerrun and me are still here, so is mztk and others...eidenk got banned and never returned.
the one thing linking us all was a desire to uncover every cool piece of music software that's out there, AND LEAVE IT UP TO THE PEOPLE TO DECIDE IF IT'S USEFUL OR NOT. i can't decide what's useful to you or anyone else any more than you can reciprocate.
so my suggestion...either contribute, enjoy, or bug off, cuz bitching is counterproductive to what we've been trying to accomplish.
not to be a buzzkill, but i hear a lot of bitching from peeps who've never contributed ANYTHING to this thread other than complaints since meffy stickied it. if ya don't like it, or won't contribute, go elsewhere. pretty simple, really, as a concept. note, this is my opinion only, and does not in any way reflect the opinion of kvr or anyone else on this website.
