Okay, so Sonic Reality's Infinite Player (an open expandable Kontakt Player library that uses Kontakt Player 4 as its engine so it works as a virtual instrument plug-in with unlimited sounds you can get from Sonic Reality) is starting to bloom with the imminent releases of so many sound products for it. We've got Drum Masters, EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection, Cinema Sessions, Serafine FX Tron, Konstruction Loop Workstation, Neil Peart Drums and all sorts of workstation, orchestral, vintage and world instruments from SR past and future.

We're going to start ramping things up for all current Infinite Player users to be in the know of what's being released, what's coming and even some free sounds just fun.

We may also do a group buy on Cinema Sessions with some bonus Strings from the Miroslav archives... what do you think of that? Maybe a bonus Serafine FX Tron LE in there too... a Sounds for Film Group Buy. That might be a nice one. Or we can do one on Konstruction Loop Workstation... or we can do just an Infinite Player Group Buy and let people pick a la carte kits, sound effects, instruments and whatever they want.

Let me know what you prefer! I'll see what we can cook up.

A la carte please. :-)

Okay, that might be the easiest one to please all. I am curious to hear from others on this... if I don't hear from anyone then doing a group buy will not be possible... since it will require a group! ;)

So you're sayin' a la carte? Haha.

Squids,

You already know this, but I'm hoping there are others who feel the same who will chime in, but I would love to see you have a group buy on vintage synths -- including your trons. Basically, Sampletron for Infinite Player as well as some of your other vintage synth libraries would be great. Largely because I'd like this stuff as 64 bit and Infinite Player / Kontakt is 64 bit.

Also, you recently mentioned possibly doing a vocal library in the Infinite Player / Kontakt format. That would also be something I'd love to see.

Does anyone else feel the same?

If it was the whole Squids Tron it would have to be its own GB. But we DO have a sort of "Tron Kapsule" that we're probably not even going to normally release... that could be in the a la carte Group Buy so you can pick that one, pick some other vintage ones and vocals... we can do something like that. I think an Infinite Player Group Buy is in order with a lot of a la carte choices... maybe something where the more people join the more stuff you get. I don't know about it being $50 though but $99 might be possible. Then you can pick a bunch of things... now that I think about it this could be really fun. We could put in some cool stuff that isn't normally released in there. That'd make it extra cool for Infinite Player owners (and prospective ones since we can make it one of the choices).

I noticed that IP sounds in K3 sometimes sound different than K2/IP (it's one of the reasons I keep K2 and K2 player around). Is there an update for this?

(It's not just IP that does this, it's a Kontakt thing, IIRC).

I would like to see some great Wurlitzer and Hammond B3 sounds. I love all the Trons, Drums, orchestra and other sounds but the Wurlitzer and the B3 are the meat and potatoes of rock n' roll, but yet I'm always searching for one of those sounds. Probably not what most want to see but that's what I would tickle my fancy.

I want the pianos you recorded with Ken Scott... or at least the most Beatley sounding one.

Also... Retro Drum Grooves in ReTank Loop Slice format or as REX loops.

FWIW, for me, the $50 price point a'la the ongoing Xpansion Tank group buy is really the sweet spot. I've joined in a number of earlier eSoundz/IK Group Buys at $99 and been satisfied, but at this point I have a lot of what I need and $99 puts it out of the "impulse buy" range.

I'm not saying you should sell everything at half the price you're comfortable with, but more smaller selections and a $50 buy-in makes it more difficult to say no to.
