ok, I think it's time for me to say thanks.

I joined twice at eSoundz right from the start and got everything I wanted from the actual group buy plus two packs from eSoundz for free. This is an incredible deal. Two more to go as soon as we pass 4000 and I don't even know what else to choose. So really: thanks Squidz for raising the bar that was already way up there.

I'll really have to find someone who actually CAN play keyboards now.

(was hoping for something like 48k/24 but anyway)

Hmmmmm. I was under the impression that some of the modern instruments (like the Capsule guitars in the Electric Guitar and Acoustic Guitar packs) were actually recorded at 48k/24. But maybe not.

In any case, SampleTank can handle the higher quality format. I have imported 24 bit samples into it to build my own instruments.

And furthermore, I have NEVER worked with any SampleTank/eSoundz instruments over the course of 7 years, and thought to myself that the quality of the samples were lacking on account of bit resolution. They may be less detailed in terms of velocity layering, absence of round robins, and because samples are sometimes spread over many keys (rather than a sample per note), but they never come across as being low resolution. So I don't think I would worry to much about the 16 bit thing.
