My ears say it's based on Dattorro's figure-of-eight, which can actually be broken down and viewed as an FDN so technically Urs is correct if he is saying that and not giving all his information awayjupiter8 wrote:I'm pretty sure he said it was a FDN.Caco wrote:I listened to a lot of reverbs developing this and I now have a good ear for what reverbs are using which techniques. I am convinced Urs Heckmann's Uhbik-A is using Dattorro's figure-of-eight. update - I extracted rather than just copying the dll file and it just does not show up in the drop down vst list, but is definitely in the vst folder.yellowfever wrote:mmmm. I double clicked the folder and just copied the dll file to my vst folder. I was meant to extract it???guitarzan wrote:Hmmm....well, it's a zip archive when you download it...are you sure you unzipped it?...could happen...yellowfever wrote:No, but I can't load it into Cubase Studio 4.5.2. I'll double check tomorrow.

What cpu do you have? It might requiere SSE2 or so...
(b.t.w.: the way in which you extract the file from the package is of course utterly irrelevant - unpacking is unpacking

Or on second thought i might be mistaken. He released the reverb from Zebra2 (i think) and that was a FDN. Could be the Uhbik is different.Caco wrote:My ears say it's based on Dattorro's figure-of-eight, which can actually be broken down and viewed as an FDN so technically Urs is correct if he is saying that and not giving all his information awayjupiter8 wrote:I'm pretty sure he said it was a FDN.Caco wrote:I listened to a lot of reverbs developing this and I now have a good ear for what reverbs are using which techniques. Sounds great. Is it possible for someone to knock out a gui for it? Actually, never mind. Host gui works just fine, and sound is very nice for a freebie. I'm interested in the algorithm differences.
I'm gonna live forever, or die trying.

It's amazing that someone mentioned the UHBIK reverb in context with this fantastic piece of freeware. UHBIK A is my main reverb and I am very very satisfied with its smoothness and invisibility. Immediately after trying out the M-verb, I noticed the similarity and compared them both on a vocal loop: really stunning, If I had known it ealier I would have been able to save some money.;.-) Only sad point: a decent gui would really make it easier for me to work with it, so If anyone if gifted in those things: here is a subject that would be really worth the effort!
Thanks man for the m-Verb
