Can anyone here answer my question of from where the riffs in the demo for the Acoustic Guitar collection came? they're so nice...

Just from the mind of the demo creator, I would imagine. They are just well chosen chords played in a fingerpicking style.

I agree... they sound great. Even though these guitars don't have a lot of depth, if you play the right thing with them (in a sparing manner) they can sound awesome in a song. :-)

okay, little stunned here:

USD$50, and I get some 8.4GB of sounds and a light-weight sample player?
That's what I call value...Thanks Esoundz and IK Multimedia, I'm enjoying my soundsets very much!

Alphabetically:
  • Acoustic Drums 2
    Bass Collection 2
    Cinematik Collection
    SampleArp Solo
    SampleOB Expander
    The XT soundset
    Vintage Keys Collection
    Vintage Rock Grooves.
Add this to the Sonik Synth 2 sounds, and the original 2.5SE soundset (okay, okay, so there's some overlap, so?), and I'm set for a good while for exploring and tweaking...

Damn it... first the Yellow Tools Independence fire sale and now this!! I'm very tempted to join! World instruments looks interesting and pianos etc.
So, do you just buy the multibox and then choose your titles and get the free player?
Sorry, Im quite new to sampletank.

For those on the fence...the demos and patch lists on the IK website can give you a good sense of the product and the value (6x1) speaks for itself. What I can add is my experience with IK support over a couple of years and several IK products I own. I've had to deal with them twice, once on something that turned out be my fault and once on something that turned out to be theirs. In both cases their response was instant, friendly, exceptionally accommodating, personal and a real breath of fresh air in the software support world.

And that doesn't even count Peter from IK who has also been great with helping me out with something (thanks again Peter!).

And I think the way they conduct these group buys speaks for itself. It's interesting to note that they seem to totally have their act together in dealing with large quantities, downloads, etc. (Compare this to recent group buys from Steven Slate and Yellow Tools, to name 2, in which the companies were completely unprepared to handle the downloads their group buys generated and ended up with lots of frustrated customers.) I've seen virtually no complaints in this 120 page thread that have not been quickly resolved to the complainers satisfaction.

So, if you're on the fence, I would encourage a perspective that companies like IK Multimedia deserve to be supported -- if their products and value appeal to you.

FWIW, I also had a wonderful experience with Allen from Esoundz.

Guys like Peter and Allen give me faith in business.

Friendly bump to next page.
