What about if we focus on CHANNEL 1 ?
This is going to answer a lot more questions than I can. OTOH it might raise a few new ones. Look it over and see what you think.

same problems here. I guess I'll wait for a new version and look for something else for now, since it looks like Ronald is onto his next amp already. :(

hopefully that one will be vst2.4 since 2.3 is old.

sorry Ron, if I didn't think this was a great plug in then I wouldn't be so excitable. a friend and I were comparing it to guitar rig 4 again last night and it's so much better, so even if you don't release a new plug in I have to find something better for heavy tones than guitar rig 4.

I love 1.1 just the way it is and I just want it to be stable, so my only suggestion is the same as it was and update the vst spec to at least 2.4 since that's the minimum officially supported by cubase 5, I'll send you a really good donation if you do that. :D

you are THE MAN! :hail:

Huehue, an h0n0r 2 me.
Hopefully in 3 days i will release it.
I ll try my best.

In th mean time, try open new project and new track for gtr.
If cubase, open mixer find INPUT CHANEL (use m0n0). In insert, put RevZ.
D0nt put RevZ in insert in gtr track.
Try first!

A Mesa Boogie amp sim?!?!? Wow!!! RevZ is great already though. But I guess you want more colors in your palette. Great.

I read at another forum, that because a developer is trying to make a amp sim low on cpu, the sound quality suffers. I don't find that on your RevZ though.

Still I was wondering, why not make a version of RevZ that eats more CPU, but MAYBE it will sound better? I WOULDN'T know, as I am not developing it, you are, but maybe a SUPER MEGA HIGH QUALITY (Of course, a lot heavier on the CPU side) REVOLUTION Z would be more than awesome?

Just a suggestion, as I think this idea is great (Of course, leave untouched the current version, as it's already awesome). But some of us now have better machines, and could use 2 or 4 instances of this WOULD BE version, hence having even more sound quality.

Just a thought... ;)

Hi
I was watching this topic for quite a while... several days, wanted to try the amp sim but always had way too many things on my head.
Today was the day. I finally installed it and tried some guitars with it.
For now I'm recording a "test track" just with the available presets and I'll be back after with some feedback. Until now, the drive sound is pretty well and the cab sim it's handy to be together with the amp.
-------------------------
Later on.
A short test of a new amp sim/ distortion, RevolutionZ by 1ststudio.
It's a amp head with a cabinet simulator (impulse based).
4 instances of amp, bass made with Kontakt Player and drums with DrumCore3 free.
Guitar used is a Gibson LesPaul Traditional.

RevolutionZ-Test Distortion

Seems pretty stable in Mu.Lab.

Pfff, I've found out that this plugin is the best so far from the ones I have tested. This one is very responsive and very "clean". What I mean is that it doesn't MUD up when you play, specially when playing fast notes, every note is CLEAR as hell, even if you have lots of gain-drive.

I've just found out that by default there's a lot of gain-drive, and I have to manually set this to 1, that's pretty much how much you need. Or maybe I just need to turn down the input?

Again, thnkas for this great plugin (for leads I still need to turn off the cabinets and use CABINET from AudioEase, coz otherwise it sounds too harsh for me -except for maybe low gain solos). But for Rythm this thing is the greatest.

Well, the last version had 6 tracks limit, the new one have 4 tracks limit, but still enough to work on small projects. You can download it and try it. You can download some demo tracks and see how you can "cheat" the limitations.
You can route whatever to wherever and it's quite stable when using VST plugins.

I used your plugin in chain after recording, so my guitar is recorded clean and I can run a noise cleaning and still get a natural sound.
