I think I may have four of them. But the thought of having to look through Ray Charles' entire discography to find his connection with Louis and Aretha...could take a while.

OK, I reckon I've got all but one. But Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, both prolific songwriters, both around at a time when 'covers' were commonplace. So, was the song by:
1. Ray
2. Aretha
3. Gottfried Leibniz
4. Someone else
?

Tony Hadley? Are you sure? Or are you also anticipating that he will be one day? They certainly seem to be getting around a bit...
(I'd better shut up now in case we end up in HPC!)

Frank loses 20,000 points for his next question, because it's Spandau Ballet, not the spandau ballet."what do tom cruise, david beckham, beck and tony hadley of the spandau ballet have in common?"
Did y'all miss me?

OK, partly inspired by an earlier discussion we're going to play Pixellated Album Art.
The Rules:
The first person to get all 5 correct answers wins - no arguments. If no-one gets them within a few hours* I'll start to post more detailed versions until someone gets all 5. No other clues will be provided (unless things get desperate!). If you post a question, or a list of less than 5, I won't answer it. If you post a list of 5 answers, but they're not all correct, I'll answer "No".
There's no connection between them other than they're all, hopefully, fairly (if not very) well known. They range in date from the 60's to the 90's.
*apart from when I'm asleep
or when I'm bored and want to get things moving a bit quicker. Also: the rules can change at any time I decide to edit them.
