iRandom name for you to refer at eSoundz: dgkenney

I am going to jump on this train in the next couple of days and want to get clarifcation on something: the R.A.W. titles listed as esoundz freebies are the same as the IK "Grooves" that can be one of your 6 choices-correct? Is the advantage of having them thru esoundz that they are offered in these three formats, and that IK does not offer these formats?

I have 20 bucks in jampoints at IK, so I am choosing between esoundz and IK at this point. I already own Sampletron, and Mtron, and do not need the Squids Tron extras, so does this mean if I buy through esoundz my choices are the Studiophonik basses and the Sonic Reality bonus disk (if in fact the "Grooves" ARE already psrt of the IK offering)?

I can't be the only one that finds this confusing, thanks for the help!

Yes, the huge range of choices does make this hurt the brain cells :). This might help:

Several of the Xpansion Tanks are taken from the SR R.A.W Series, but the number of instruments and presets can differ.
-- there are several RAW products from eSoundz that are not available from IKMM,
-- the ReTank products from eSoundz are not available from IKMM,

-- the Xpansion Tanks are in SampleTank format only
-- the ReTank products are in SampleTank format only, with groove slices in SampleTank format along with midi (similar to exported REX files with each slice mapped to the keyboard).
-- the RAW products are in RX2, Apple Loops AND .wav formats (you get all three formats).

Are you trying to download more than one at a time? If so, you should try using a download manager. If not, anybody else having this issue? I'm checking with IT as well to check for other reports of this.

EDIT - IT is working on this right now. Thanks!

I'm having the same probem. It is not a problem with downloading but with the confirmation page after you try to order a second product. I've sent a support message to IK, and the hoops I've had to jump though to get to them was maddening. I hope they get this fixed soon. Is ANYONE able to download extra sounds today (after the first pack) from IK multimedia. If so, tell us how. If not, please try to let them know.

I edited my message - apparently IT is working on this now. Thanks for your patience.

One more question: I do NOT already own Sampletank (Smapletron sounds can't be played in ST, although I am told that the reverse does work). What do those of us who do not own ST yet get to choose from for freebies with this GB on esoundz?

Thank you!

SampleTank comes with your purchase.

brokenfor wrote:I'm in need of a good piano for live use, would the Paino Collection be a good one to use in your opinion?

Thanks!
Pianos from this collection range from good to excellent. One of my favorite packs from the group and has some of the best sampling of the lot IMO. :)

Based on that, I would go for these 6:

SampleArp Solo
Multi-sampled Arp® Synthesizer Instruments

SampleOB Xpander
Multi-sampled Oberheim® Synthesizer Instruments

Cinematik Collection
Multi-sampled Film & Orchstral FX Instruments

OmniSynth 2
Multi-sampled General MIDI Instruments

Piano Collection 2
Multi-sampled Acoustic & Electric Piano Instruments

Vintage Keys Collection
Multi-sampled Vintage Keyboard Instruments

I read on an earlier post that there is an "extra" included for those who already have ST before the GB purchse, that is what my question was referring to. Is this still the case?

Sauli, there was an error in the beginning with the choices that were available. That has been corrected and the list below is the current one.
So, some people got libs they weren't supposed to. Lucky them :)

But hey, maybe IK doesn't want people to be disappointed about being treated unequally and they announce that "and more" means Best of Sonic Strings and Squids Rare Instruments Vol. 2 Acoustic for everyone :D
Hey, Everyone!
First time post, so be gentle! :)

I too was really looking forward to the Best of Sonic Strings when I made my second purchase via esoundz, the demo made my mouth water!

Can anyone compare this to the original Symphony Strings or Symphony Strings 2?
I'm pretty well covered for drums, guitars, basses and vintage/world/unusual stuff...

I don't want to seem greedy either, but I'd LOVE it if the fine folks at SR would reconsider adding the "error" libraries back in! PUH-LEEEZ?

Also, about the Bonus Disc for Sampletank 2.5, does it overlap the new expansion packs or the 1gb included library much? What's in it?

Been following this forum for over a month now, VERY informative and entertaining! I'll miss it next week!

Thanks and MUCH love to KVR, SR and IK! I've done last summers T-Racks GB and this one as well, world class sounds and FX for pennies, AMAZING!
