Based on that, I would go for these 6:

SampleArp Solo
Multi-sampled Arp® Synthesizer Instruments

SampleOB Xpander
Multi-sampled Oberheim® Synthesizer Instruments

Out of these 2, which is better?
I'm guessing the first.
I'm mainly a guitar player with limited keyboard skills....I'm looking for synth sounds that can add a lot of mood/ambience and a variety of sounds...

Jesse, I would definitely grab the electric guitar pack. I also play electric guitar, but there are so many awesome virtual guitars that sound great. At the very least you can use them to mock up an arrangement before you start recording real guitar... and often times you will probably consider keeping and using sections of the virtual guitar (which you can double with real guitar) or you might be very appreciative of using the sound of the virtual guitar as reference for dialing in a similar kind of amp sound on your real guitar. Definitely wouldn't miss it. :-)

As for the construction kits, I think you might find many of them useful if you produce Hip Hop music. There are bound to be lots of loops and sounds which may be similar to what you already have at your disposal, but may be different enough that you will be happy to use them or be inspired by them. Every loop in the Construction Kit comes in Loop Slice format as well.

If Hip Hop is your type of music, should you really skip the Hip Hop instruments? Most of it may not be stuff that you need, but can you ever really have enough to choose from. Just a couple great new instruments would make the selection worthwhile.

No?
Yes! :)

Thanks for the input, I think I will go for those. Electric guitar + 2 hiphop construction xpansions... sounds good to me!

I have my Axon MIDI guitar system (not connected atm), the acoustic guitars will probably work nice on that, but will the electric? Is it more riffs and licks oriented, or "straight" tones?

I would suspect there are lots of good ones in both. I have the first, and there are some really sweet mood-setting synth sounds in it. Cinematik collection has some interesting stuff too.

All "straight" tones. I'm sure you already know that you must make sure that you change the pitch bend range to +/-12 for each electric guitar preset you want to play via the Axon. You can get some cool lead sounds from this library especially if you double the sounds with your real guitar (i.e. record the MIDI and the guitar audio at the same time). Process the audio track with Amplitube or other amp sim software.

Sorry if this is a repeat question....
Are these Construction Kits slices of loops layed across the keyboard?

Please remember that it is REGISTRATIONS that move the ticker up, so if we want to get 7x1 happening people need to order, get the serial, and register. Let's make this happen.

Yes (in one folder). In another folder, the same loops are Menu Mapped so that loading a single SampleTank preset brings up all the loops of a particular construction kit onto notes of your keyboard.

Two different ways to work with these. :-) Definitely worth having.

I did. It's all good stuff. There are tonnes of useful things in all those Construction Kit/Loop Slice packs. And I don't even do that kind of music!!

Hey Everyone!

Posted earlier today about the possibility of getting the 2 SR libraries that were available by mistake reinstated for esoundz buyers. It would really help me decide whether to use my Jampoints or go thru esoundz for my next set, I've already got lots of the content covered from the other bonus sets. What do you think, Squids or Allen?

If not, how much in the Best of Sonic Strings library in is the Symphony Strings and Symphony Strings 2 packs? Loved the demo and had recommended it to a friend who's buying this week... oops! Help me not look like a schmuck!

And does the Sampletank 2.5 Bonus Disc overlap the included XT2 1gb library much? I can't find a demo, sound or patch list ANYWHERE for it! Anyone have any insight to share? I'd REALLY appreciate it...

LOVING the forum and the GB! KVR, SR and IK, YOU ROCK!

7x1? YES, WE CAN!

I recommend that you state your request directly to Allen (at) eSoundz (dot) com, explaining to him what's going on. I don't get the impression that Allen or Squids are following this thread.

No overlaps, I believe.
