warning: the piano pack made me spontaneously play "right here waiting" even though i'd previously sworn i'd never play the song

the "home tape piano" is clever. i feel like i'm back in time listening to an old tape of me from my childhood while i'm creating the music now. it's it's a trippy feeling

Yes... This has been a pretty active thread the past couple of days!!! Fortunately, the good Reverend Rhythm has been helping keep things as close to the top as possible!!!

You mean something like putting them into the KVR sound banks, etc? Full permission or your own stuff should be no problem. If you go and pull in something other than that you'll be playing with fire of course.
Wouldn't possibly play with fire! Totally respect all copyright...which is why I asked. After all, you guys deserve to be paid for your (fantastic) work.

Thanks for clarifying. :)

Thanks, J! Let me know if you have questions about:

Sample Arp
Piano Coll. 2
Elec Guitar 2
Hip Hop Coll.
Cinematik

(So far, I like 'em all)

Separately, I notice the World Instruments pack has a Harmonium as well. I wonder if it's the same...?

Growf. You guys are evil. Fine fine fine, I've joined again. I still had $14 in JamPoints so I went that way. I figure I've already spent more than $36 worth of my time trying to decide which things to buy, so I should've just done this in the first place.

248 to go! No, wait, 247!

Thanks Ceej! That's great.

For $36 you just bought at least 6GB additional instruments for your ST library. Can't go wrong with that! :-)

What are you going to select? I gather you've got some of this stuff from previous GBs, as I did.

Yeah, I'm not complaining. This is my second time in, and I think that's going to be it. But I certainly won't complain if it hits 8x1! :)

I have a number of things from previous Group Buys, yeah. From Rare and Vintage I figure I've already got basically all of Vintage Keys and SampleArp, and from ReTank I figure I've got at least a significant subset of the 9 drum-loop libraries, so they're off the table. I've also got the World Grooves RAW pack, so no need for that one.

I have the version 1 Expansion Tanks for Piano Collection, Symphony Strings, Acoustic Drums, and Omnisynth. However, I'm seriously considering upgrading to v2 for a couple of them - in fact I've already gotten Omnisynth 2. See, I convinced a friend to join in also, and one of the main reasons was so that we would each have a base set of sounds so we could collaborate. And he chose Piano, Acoustic Drums, Bass, Vintage Keys, Omnisynth, and Electronic Drums. So to be safe and give us the most flexibility, I'll probably get those upgrades - although Piano is probably last on the list, since it looks like the differences between 1 and 2 aren't all that great...

So far I've only actually downloaded four: Bass Collection, OmniSynth 2, Vocal Collection, and World Instruments. I'll probably end up with Acoustic and Electronic Drums, plus whatever 7th and 8th packs my friend picks. Then I'm leaning towards Cinematik, Acoustic Guitar, SampleOB, and some of the Construction Kits - most likely Down Tempo Electronica, Trip Hop, and Modern Rap. That's fourteen, so Ida know where I'll go if we get higher than 7x1! What a problem to have, eh?

Maybe this will get moved to the "Getting Started (AKA What is the best...?)" forum, but here goes...

Which is the best Construcion Kit!?

I have Yellow Tools Independence Pro plus Lyrical Distortion Direct with another 22 libraries.

I think Im ok on the guitar department unless someone can tell me otherwise!
I love ethnic instruments so I guess the World Instrument Collection is my first choice.

YT doesn't have choirs or vocal, so Vocal Collection would be another.
I was a big sucker for my old Korg Triton pads and synths, so if anyone can point me in the right direction in the sampletank buy to something similar, then I would be grateful!
Pianos is another must and so is strings.

So far I want these for sure:

World Instruments Collection
Vocal Collection
Piano Collection 2
Symphony Strings 2

World Grooves anyone???
If pads are your thing, I'd definitely recommend adding the Cinematic Collection.
