This smallness is due to the fact that is has no GUI. If you'd remove the GUI from other plugins - also very expensive ones - there will be left very little code also.

Thanks for this awesome reverb!

And I agree, a nice GUI would make it even more popular.
I have modest skills in GUI design. You can fine examples here and there (under my old user name)
Feel free to contact me if you want me to start working on it.

If you are looking for a more seasoned GUI designer, I can recommend grymmjack and limeflavour.

And now we're waiting for the intrepid knight who will compile a Mac AU version… ;-)

Hoping for the best,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I second this. It is sweet as it is but a simple/funtional gui wouldn't be bad at all. Maybe along the gvst line that grymjack skinned?

I can't check now (my audio interface needs a hopefully minor repair) but the descirption sounds like it could be a denormal problem? Any chance your still using a P4 system (I am  )?

Strange, does the CPU go down when you are passing a signal through it? If so then it sounds like a denormal issue but i had thought I had prevented that occuring :?

i will investigate more.

Yea, nice GUI would make this the best free reverb of all times.

Isn't damping the removal of high frequencies? 100% damping should sound low and muffled, but in Mverb this is reversed, it sounds brighter.

Very nice - this is probably the best free algo 'verb I've tried since the TAL plate emulation*

*honourable mention for WhiteLabel TEV which is more of an "effect verb", I think.

Thank you for making it free, and thank you for making it open source :tu:

What's the status of the plug-in in development terms: will there be further versions in the future? If so, are you open to feature requests? (...he asked hopefully :D :D :D)

Yes, it seems back-to-front: increasing the "Damping" parameter actually decreases the degree of damping.

One of the reasons for making it open-source is that other people can add new features for themsleves. However, my goal was primarily pedagogical so if anything is mentioned that fits in with that and doesn't complicate the code then I will certainly consider it.

An example of this may be a GUI as I could add a simple example of how to use VSTGUI to it. This could be easily separated from the reverb code and so not interfere with it. I like the color coding of the different sections Novaflash, let me know if you are interested in doing the graphics.

I will have a look at the damping. At the moment increasing the damping increases the filter's cutoff so is letting more frequencies through. Perhaps this should be reversed.

I don't currently have an x64 version of windows so I wont be doing a 64bit version anytime soon. I expect the code would compile fine though for x64 so that shouldn't stop anyone else doing it, as well as OSX and Linux versions :)
