I'm struggeling with the recording from a Yamaha DTXpress 4 kit using a VDRM kit from the OWD/DM Group Buy 1. It's the hihat causing my pain. The closing and opening parts sound weird, and sometimes the hihat plays a choked sound where it should have played an open hihat sound. I can see that the CC4 is playing back, and the notes used are A#-1 and D0.

Is there a description on how to configure a non Roland drum kit to use the VDRM settings? Or can anybody explain how I should set up the kit?

Thanks,
R

Nobody knows? Not even a link to a manual...?

There are two or three notes to change in the brain. I am not sure how it works on the dtxpress, but it works on the dtxtreme. I know squids mentioned the notes the giant gb thread here and on the vdrums forum. I am actually on the beach right now and don't have the info handy.

Thanks for the input. I'll seach the GB tread for some info.

It's 4 degrees celsius and new snow in the mountains here. So you enjoy your stay at the beach
