If you already own the R.A.W Trip Hop library, do not get the Down Tempo Electronica loops.

If you already own the R.A.W Drum and Bass library, do not get the UpTempo Electronica loops.

The R.A.W packs have the same sounds and more..

This is a bummer for me. Had I know, I would not have gotten these 2 Loop librairies. I wish they had been named "Trip Hop loops" and "Drum and Bass loops" to match the R.A.W library titles.

But that's my only disappointment. Other than that, I am very happy with everything else. I do feel that I now have 2 useless librairies though.. I much prefer using the R.A.W ones (which I can slice myself using slicex)...
pheeleep, you are the man! Thanks for the heads up, but from what it sounds like from others, having the loops in both formats is not a total waste. In fact, I was thinking I would use the RAW loops less because the way they are grouped in the Xpansion Tanks is more conducive to access & discovery (playability, basically). Good find, though!
Those two had to be split up for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is that in SampleTank there's the menu maps and slices so the size was over and the other reason often has to do with the royalties we pay to artists sometimes.

However, this is true that they are useful in SampleTank in a different way... and this is mainly a SAMPLETANK group buy... not a RAW group buy. Since Rex cannot be imported into SampleTank to get you slices and midi this is a nice way to have it! Advantages of it are huge... zone editing per slice being one of the main ones. Playing the slices as instruments being another - interesting results! Creativity... and for the relative price of what? $7 each? Plus the extra free one... not much room to complain REALLY is there?

No extension, said Peter from IKMM:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... start=2025

So buy now!
That's an assumption but I cannot make that decision and nothing's impossible. If any it wouldn't be long, though, and I recommend getting this to 5,000 ASAP (which is why I said assume no extension though)

Just ordered the 2nd time!! (Getting closer to 5000!!!)

It was going to be bigger but it really needed to hit 5000 before the end of the business day for me to be able to pull off the FULL thing I wanted to do... but if it can still reach it by say tomorrow then there will something special at least. I was pulling for something I know you'd guys all want but I have to go through IK on this one - even if they are our sounds. So good luck. If you can do it there WILL be something.

I do have another surprise though that is loop-related. Just for esoundz customers who purchased the group buy at least once from www.esoundz.com

OmniSynth 2 -- OR -- Symphony Strings 2

which would you choose?

I have Miroslav ... and all of the other xpansion tank 2 multi-samples and no interest in the loops.

HELP !

Post

Well, if you already have Miroslav then OmniSynth propably offers more, but to be honest it's the only library so far I've been disappointed to.

I'm not into loops either, but I decided to give it a try and took the World Grooves and it was worth it. Many of the single instrument loops are well sliced and simple in a positive way, so that single slice often doesn't feel like part of a loop.

Post

75 to go now! Oh, and of those two I would say since you have Miro, wilnwil, perhaps OmniSynth 2 is the right way to go.

Oh come on now! :-( I think that you should just start assuming that it *WILL* hit 5000 before the end of the actual day, because it certainly will.

"It was going to be bigger" sounds like past tense... like we already lost our chance...

Only 72 left. Almost 200 people have joined since you made the announcement LATE last night. Almost 500 have joined over the past 2 days. The numbers are continuing to increase.

Obviously we are going to hit 5000 later today... so how about just getting on with it and setting up that "FULL thing [you] wanted to do"?

With the crazy rate at which people are continuing to join this GB, I'll be giving you a few of these: :o :o :o if you decide NOT to do that FULL thing you wanted to do. ;-)

Well... okay, I want to EXTEND it and let you guys have another chance to get an 8th library (and that means 9 if you get it from esoundz) but the only way I can push that through IS if you guys hit 5,000 before the end of the day. Well, that is not the only way but that was a condition of the conversation I had... but that is NOT OFFICIAL! I don't call the shots on this one I can only make my suggestions. It is up to IK. We can only add our extras. So we'll see... all I can say is good luck. With just 70 left you MIGHT actually hit it before the end of the work day as it is still only 4:30 We'll see what happens. Man, can you imagine though? 9 libraries (esoundz only) for just $50? That is pretty insane... even 8 is but it just gets crazier and crazier and hopefully that itself makes it easier for more people to just join because after this you know it goes back up to $50 per library on IK's store right? That was where it was always going to be as the REGULAR price! Even if you use a few loops or a few instruments from a library it has to be worth $6! Better to have a lot of choices.

It's only 1:37pm where I sit (California). :) 8x1 would be amazing. Or 2 eSoundz bonusus instead of 1?.... That'd work!

Allen is super fast, but he does it manually. I think numbers are sent out automatically from the IK registration system. I got both my e-mails just a minute or two after placing the order on IK.

Just emailed him... He's waiting for more serial #'s from IK. Expects them in about 15 minutes.

So there's a delay getting in getting the serials, then delay when people who bought this don't login their esoundz account to see it and thus don't register and the counter does not update... I guess the sales are way over 5000 already.
Night has come down in Europe, so there won't be much more registrations from here today. Too bad!

Serials are now available in your esoundz download area

C'mon people- if you bought but didn't register- register!!!! It doesn't count. Let's do this thing. I still can't beleive it is this high- shocking actually.
So for $50 you can get a whackload of sounds, drums, loops. You can't even go out for a nice meal at that price.
And a reminder for those that have/will have the Vocal Collection- I have posted revised presets (done to my liking- more warmth- more sustain- brighter at times, louder overall) in the KVR Banks & Patches section (see top of this page). Check them out as they bring new life to the Vocal Collection.
The constructions kits are a blast to play and can offer a great inspiration for new songs..
