Sorry about that Barbecutie. You almost got the top slot. We posted in the same minute...
I think it would be great for Squids to just give you any of the RAW & Xpansion Tank Construction Kits that you don't have so that you can make these comparisons complete. I saved your spreadsheet as a PDF and it looks great. A complete list should be distributed (just as you formatted it) as a PDF with the actual products (both the Xpansion Tanks and the RAW packs).
Honestly, I think you did a fantastic job with that.Bradster wrote:I took the liberty of A/B comparing some of the R.A.W. titles against similar Xpansion titles and put them into a spreadsheet.

This is probably the big blowout sale of stuff related to SampleTank 2 leading up to the announcement of SampleTank 3.
The ST2 engine is, what, seven years old now? It's still a gem, but you gotta figure something new is in the works.

At this pace, we're going to hit 8x1 even before the original deadline!
I wonder what's next... specifically whether Peter will add more selection options to tempt those of us who have already signed on 3 times to jump in the pool a fourth time. (At 8x1, a fourth time would run out of choices!)

Thanks Zedd!
It's not really that much work, once you get a process in place. RAR has a nice "Generate report" function that actually outputs an HTML listing of all the files in an archive. Then it's just a question of pasting into the spreadsheet and applying the old EDS -- Eyeball Data Sort. Caffeine is a requirement.
The only other R.A.W. titles I have are Deluxe Bass Lines, Guitar Riffs, Drums Grooves, and Miami Club and the Jazz Grooves. I have the full Sonic Capsules set as well. Off the top of my head, I can see:
Acoustic Drums 2 = Studio Drum Capsule (+?)
Electric Guitar Collection 2 = Electric Guitar Capsule (+?)
Acoustic Guitar Collection 2 = Acoustic Guitar Capsule (+?)
Bass Collection 2 = Bass Guitar Capsule (+?)
Electronic Drums = Eclectic Drum Capsule (+?)
Jazz Grooves = Jazz Grooves (+?)
??? = Miami Club
??? = Deluxe Bass Lines
??? = Deluxe Guitar Riffs
??? = Deluxe Drum Grooves
If anyone has input to offer to help map these out, it would be of great use.

Many thanks on that one, Bradster. That's a huge red flag for me, as I have the Acoustic Drums 2 on my list of items to download and am also considering the Sonic Reality Studio Drums Capsule as a choice for the extra item from esoundz.Bradster wrote:

I asked long ago if anyone had both and had compared them, but I don't think anyone answered.
Nice to know they're basically the same thing BEFORE I cash in two tickets to download them both.
(I'll be sure to make you my referral choice if I do end up signing on a fourth time. I hit Zedd twice and Rev once with the other three, since they answered previous questions for me.)

It's what they did with the Amplitube 2 and related product group buy last year. Amplitube 3 was announced very soon after that one ended.
Oh thats quite interesting.. well heres to a ST3 with (hopefully) larger GUI that reads all of these ST2 libraries

Acoustic Drums 2 is actually the GM (but not I-map) kits from the Studio Drums Capsule, plus the I-map kits (ie, all of them, I think) from the original Acoustic Drums Expansion Tank. So it's not a straight equivalence; there's some stuff in each that isn't in the other.Bradster wrote:Acoustic Drums 2 = Studio Drum Capsule (+?)
