Hi all,
Would it be possible to include some sort of plugin menu editor. Apart from being able to exclude plugins (which we already can do) it would be useful to be able to rename some plugins to more user-friendly names, put similar ones into subfolders (eg Arturia, Korg, etc). Something similar to Cakewalk's Plugin Manager in Sonar.
What do you think? Would this be possible?
Thanks.

Fist of all you can use the "pin" feature to quickly add your most used plugins to Cantabile's VST favourites.
Ok, you can't rename plugins this way, but maybe Windows can already help here... as Cantabile can load VST's via a windows link too.
Just create a folder structure to your taste, arrange and rename the links to VST's you want the way you like and probably that's all you need.
You can also load plugins via loading related .fxp patchfiles or .fxb bank files. Cantabile identifies the needed plugin and loads it with the specified preset or bank.
If I remember the latest blog messages proper, VST's will be found in Cantabile folder itself too as the new Cantabile VST - once working - will be located there. So this might be a place suited for such a root folder containing the links to your favourite renamed plugins in future.
A cool thing I would like is a browser with thumbnail representations of the plugins (maybe patches and banks too) you like and to choose from there.
