To anyone following this thread, but still sitting on the fence about joining the group buy, I'd recommend that you dive right in and do it. You'll be getting some good usable sounds at a really good price. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm very finicky about the samples I use on my recordings and I've gotten quite a few sounds in these sets that I'll definitely be using. I might have to tweak some of them a little, but that's very easy to do with SampleTank 2. Even if you only join once, you'll be getting a lot of sounds at 8 sets for the price of one (it's almost there).

You should be able to as that is a bug in the ordering system IMHO.

Yes. Once the promotion has ended on May 31st, 2010, you will have 30 additional days to make your product selection from the User Area. Once selected, you then have an additional 30 days to download the sound content, as normal.

Maybe Peter or someone from IK can confirm our understanding of this FAQ.

As I read it, I believe as long as you've registered your serial number and have the list of "Xpansion Tank Group Buy" promotion items in your user area, the 30 day 'selection' clock starts at promotion end (which is either the original May 31, or the revised June 6).

Edit: I agree it appears confusing to see the promotion items having an expiry date of May 31....

Me too. I'm having now double tank of acoustic guitars

... Shouldn't the tanks that I have already chosen be not available in promotion dropdown? I wonder how many of same kind of support requests IK will get during few coming days.

Or possible others can count to seven (or soon eight)...

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I'm gonna leave that one to a PC user...

But you should also put in support ticket with IK if no one is able to offer advise here. IK Tech Support will probably help you sort it out when they are back in the office tomorrow.

Just 222 to go for 8x1.
