I suppose that makes sense - it's about the only circumstances under which I could be persuaded to listen to country.vurt wrote:if you mix heroin(tm) with lsd 25 you get countryhakey wrote: why wasn't their music more overtly psychedelic like, say, early Pink Floyd, or Hawkwind?)

Pearl Jam were always completely shit. Personally, I've never understood how grunge constituted a new genre in the first place. It ain't nothing I hadn't heard by 1977. Ultimately, though, only Gary's idea of what constitutes grunge is relevant here.vurt wrote:pearl jam where whiny college rock not grunge, no matter what their press releases say.
I would have thought you'd get dead fairly quickly....vurt wrote:if you mix heroin(tm) with lsd 25 you get country

Death. Dead, you'd still sound better than Billy Ray Cyrus.vurt wrote:hmm, country music or death?

If you wanna get pedantic, the 'r' is also superfluous, and the word 'music' is entirely inappropriate here....robojam wrote:That's country music without the 'o'.

I'm happy for you. All I can see is the Chelsea flower show.

Yes, it does look an awful lot like a passion flower (unless you're seeing the face of Alan Titchmarsh in it, or something?).
I have to say, it's not an obvious match, even when you put the original album alongside it.
And, if that Bow Wow Wow cover was controversial, this one might be six times worse (more if you open the gatefold). In fact, another Gary G. (or is it one and the same?) would probably approve.

the descriptions are in quotes because i've seen them bandied about more than a few times (lazy rock journos etc.) and I don't necessarily agree with them.
No, no pixies, pearl jam, nirvana or sonic youth.
yes, i believe it is a womans arse.
not AFX strictly speaking...

I think I've got three of them now (you didn't rule out one band mentioned, and I think I've found a match).
Bloke with attitude means nothing. And Grunge is not my specialist area, though Wiki says Green River were the first band to be so described.
