asData folder contains

folder plugins
folder presets
folder skins

asseca.log
Global.ini
mGUI.chm
mGUIman.chm
mGUIman.exe
mGUIman.ini

path to Voyager VstPlugins\Asseca\asData\plugins\Voyager\Voyager.dll

It looks like a problem. Can you play the Synth i.e. if you play note do you hear the synth sounds, also if you change to another preset do you hear that diffenent sounding preset ?

Post

Hi there,

I followed the instructions on page 1 exactly but my folder structure is slightly different to that above. I have no textfile asseca.log or demo.dll, for example.

On looking through the files, I found that in the orgdlls folder the file mGUI.dl was named so. I changed to .dll but this had no effect.

The synth plays and sounds great, no problems playing or changing presets at all. Programing would be tough though as the steppy movement of the cursor makes small tweaks impossible.

Thnaks for your replys guys!

tunedevil,

This is the 1st time I hear of mouse-move problems.

I would appreciate if you are willing to give me some information about your system:
What CPU, OS, Graphics Card, host, Audio Card and ASIO driver are you using ?

Have you tried using different hosts (e.g. VstHost/Cantabile) ?

Hi asseca, sure, no problem...

My system is an AMD Phenom 2.6 GHz Quad-Core running XP SP3

Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 3200 running dual monitor setup

Tested in FL Studio 9.1, Minihost and Cantabile Lite with same results

Audio interface is Tapco Link USB, tried both native tapco asio drivers and Asio for All.

Thanks for your help man :)

Thanks for the info.

In asData\Global.ini >> [Main] >> Bufdraw=1 ... try changing the value between 0 and 100 and see if it makes a difference in redraw speed and mouse-response.

Post

Hi,

I tried a number of values, reloading the VST each time. Unfortunately no difference was noted

I have sent you a PM ;)

Have you tried Bufdraw=0 ??

Post

Hi Assea,

I actually did try bufdraw=0, same result though.

Now, upon trying that file you sent me in VSTHost, I wasn't able to complete your instructions as the skin would not draw the lowest part of the gui showing the status panel. I tried again reloading and using the default skin, but still would not draw that section.

Maybe it helps, I tried to open in MiniHost, no gui at all there, but sound plays through.

Here's an image of what I mean

Try replacing the current Voyager_GUI.dll with this one

Post

Well, that seems to have solved the problem! Redraw reported at 19.5 ms and mouse movement is smooth. Well done!! :)

There are still issues with drawing the plugin after scrolling in vst host though, I'm sure you have that under control

Yes, I found some bugs

Thanks for reporting I'll have a look at those ASAP ...

There is another problem with this version: Auto-load default bank is not working ...

Unfortunately the temperature here has jumped from 23 to 40 degrees Celcius in 2 days and I need to do some urgent jobs around these before the soil turns rock-hard ...

If these problems have not been fixed within 2 days, just post again in this thread or PM me

No rush man, no panic...

Thanks for your excellent help and this superb GUI 8)

I think I have found the cause of the scrolling and "defaultBank" problems.

Try replacing the current Voyager_GUI.dll with lfVoyager_GUI_v2b10.rar
-- and --
the new v2b10 DLL+skin lfVoyager-test-v2b10.rar.
