Personally I can't see what all the fuss is about - I bought the no-brainer deal which is two great plugins at a really low price - there are some graphic related issues with nXtasy, but the plugin is so fantastic, that I don't really care. And on top of that I'm granted a free licence to a third one of my choice.
Support? What for? when the fix is out it's out. And if that will never happen, it's still sounding just as great.
But I know there are a lot of stoopid pricks with too much time on their hands who love writing e-mails just for the sake of it, so I bet the guys at Crysonic receive more than they could ever be able to answer. Not sure I'd call that giving them a fair second chance.

There's just something about Crysonic that seems to bring out the worst in people.jens wrote: But I know there are a lot of stoopid pricks with too much time on their hands who love writing e-mails just for the sake of it, so I bet the guys at Crysonic receive more than they could ever be able to answer. Calling customers who have legitimate issues and concerns "stoopid pricks" is exactly the kind of thing that sows the sort of discontent that's being so richly harvested by Crysonic right now. Since you've got the diplomatic tone down pat, maybe you should handle their customer relations in the future.

I'd send out a standard reply to every support-request, telling you guys to bugger off once and for all.
Yes, this pompous whine-feast of a thread indeed qualifies in my book for the attribute 'worst in people'.

I knew it! You're Mr. Crysonic in disguise! Admit it! Go on! Do it! Do it!jens wrote:I'd send out a standard reply to every support-request, telling you guys to bugger off once and for all.

Oh, and b.t.w.: if you read my post which you quoted again, you will find that I didn't call the "customers who have legitimate issues and concerns" stoopid pricks, but those who compulsively write e-mail after e-mail to support, and then complain that no-one ever gets a reply, even though they're the ones in response for this situation because they cause more traffic than could possibly ever be handled by a small company.
I worked in customer support for any insurance company for a few years, so I know what I'm talking about here.

I agree with Jens to an extent. The plugins do sound good, and some of the anger seems a bit disproportional, especially if you do not own any Crysonic products. However, their customer service/sales team seems to always be on hand to do business but never around to answer customer queries. We were promised updates around early May just before the 'secret' event but didn't get any. All we got was another 'Sale of the year' which reads more like 'Store Closing. Everything Must Go'. Sell by all means my boy, but do remember your customers eh?
Additionally, there are some genuine usability issues with the No Brainer plug-ins.
1. nXtasy freezes and/or is glitchy for a lot of people. Window redraw issues aplenty as well as sound issues. I wrote to them about it but got no response. Its a great little mastering tool, and I actually spent the time getting to know it and would love to use it more. You know how some plugins are a pleasure to use? Well, this one isn't. Sounds great though.
2. The Spectra compressor. Its a great sounding comp, no doubt, but there is a self oscillating parameter within my host (Live) that messes up the undo History. Can't use it at all. No response from Crysonic.
3. Spectraphy LE: Superb limiter which has the same screen redraw issues as nXtasy, as well as non working output meters. I emailed Crysonic but didn't hear back as of yet. Now I have used it on a track, and was very happy with the results. Just wish they would sort out the GUI.

I think Crysonic are a terrible shame of a company
They have plugins that sound great (I got mine through AM GB)
But at the same time they have a few issues here and there that should be sorted out post haste and the fixes have been promised for these issues and never appear
I't is a crying shame simply because the plugins are actually good if you disregard the bugs
Hopefully they will sort this shit out and get some good customer relationship set up

I actually like crysonic too. i use their limiter all the time, but indeed it has a graphical problem. there is an update available through their website but i cannot download it. i submit the details and get no link. i contacted crysonic several times with no reply. its sad, because i paid for all of their plugins. one would think that now in this uneasy financial situation, companies would try to satifsfy their customers, no matter what...i dont know it any of you guy have these latest updates. would u be kind enough to send it to me? id be very greatfull. i use mac - au. thanks. p
