Will there eventually (or sooner) be an update with pitch bend knobs either per string or a global pitch bend adjustment for the lead guitar? As discussed, this would make the library/instrument more playable for midi guitarists, I think. We'd need possibly one pb knob for down 12 and one knob for up 12 as global adjustment and better per string as shown in the Gtak video.

I still haven't had a chance to check out the Gtak video, but I'll try and figure out how to get it working.

I know you're extremely busy now, so when you have time that would be great.
Gtak is a scripting product that is used in combination with Kontakt to more effectively/easily trigger/control Kontakt instruments with a midi guitar converter/controller. It might make the user base a tad bit larger for the Orange Tree products and for users like me who use keyboard and guitar for midi. Maybe you could build something similar to Gtak for it so you wouldn't need to depend on Gtak.

It might be easiest to start with pb knob(s) that control the instrument as a whole first and then determine if it's necessary to do it per string.

I seem to get good results with midi set to omni on String Studio or other vst and using a global instrument pb setting on the vst.

loading time of Evolution patches/presets is significantly slower here than with other Kontakt patches (Windows xp sp2, pentium d, Kontakt 3.5). Some need more than 5 minutes.

Takes quite awhile for me in the free player (3.5 I think).
I thought/think it's because the sample sets are so large?
I sort of stopped using the 4 player since it times out so quickly.

I'm pretty obsessed with gear and guitar libraries. You can search KVR for my posts on guitar libraries and VSTs going back to 2002. I've bought many of the high end Kontakt guitar libraries and guitar VSTs on the market -- although you might also also notice that I've been selling off a lot of those in the KVR Market Place in the past year, first because of Strawberry Extended and now, because of Evolution and its chord strumming capabilities (I'm currently trying to sell Raging Guitars and RealGuitar -- Raging Guitars because its obsolete since Evolution Electric Guitar and RealGuitar because Evolution Acoustic Guitar is coming out in a month or so).

I see that some people are using FreePlayer and Kontakt Player 4 instead of Kontakt 4.

I bought Strawberry Evolution because i forgot that I only had Kontakt Player 4 and not Kontakt 4.

It's only coming up in demo mode.

Is there a way to use Kontakt Player 4 without the demo deactivating or perhaps in MachFive 2 (which I already own)?

It seems to work pretty well in Kontakt Player 4. Is there something more to the instrument if you use it in Kontakt 4? More control or customization?

It sounds great and I already feel like my money was well spent, but, before I have spend another $400...

The only difference between using it in the Kontakt Player is the time limit.

Since Evolution Electric Guitar - Strawberry will run in earlier versions of Kontakt, all the way back to Kontakt 2, you could always look into getting a less expensive used copy of an earlier version.

they are faster in total time, but i suppose just because there are less (or shorter wavs. The rythm libs is faster than the lead libs. I can see the loading in the display and its really slow compared to other libraries. The double chords made me nuts.
Beside of this, it's a wonderful work, an absolute beauty in sound and skills!
