I appreciate your amazing customer service and offer to refund, but, Evolution Strawberry is the best I've heard/used.

If I'm not missing anything other than time limit in the meantime until I purchase Kontakt 4, I'll keep using it in Kontakt Player 4.

I, unfortunately, do not qualify for the upgrade, but, maybe they'll come up with a promotion soon that will work my way.

Great suggestion on the idea of a used Kontakt 2 and 3.

I thought the FXPansion team's customer service was unsurpassable, but, you, Greg, seem to be really in your own class.

Thanks for the wonderful product!

I don't know if the Kontakt 3 (or 3.5) free player is available any longer, but it lasts 30 minutes before time-out, I believe.

Hello Joe,

One thing you can do is purchase a cheap Kontakt Player library, and then you can use it to qualify for the crossgrade price! On NI's site, there is a list of qualifying products for the crossgrade, and I am sure you can find one of them for $99 or less somewhere, and then you would qualify for the $139 crossgrade price!

I also have to agree with the customer service from Greg...second to none!

Great idea. Thanks.

For anyone looking for a fairly cheap way to get the crossgrade deal:

You can buy the Infinite Player from eSoundz (Sonic Reality) for $50, and it qualifies for the crossgrade (plus you get a free 300MB C7 grand piano sampleset with the Infinite Player).

http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=2459

So you can end up getting the full version of Kontakt 4 for $189! A great deal!

I got lucky. Though not listed, I emailed NI to ask if my ownership of

POWERED BY KONTAKT - Abbey Road 60s Drums
KONTAKT SOUNDPACK Kontakt Factory Selection
and
STEVEN SLATE DRUMS EX

qualified me me for the crossgrade. They said it did and I placed my order today.

I've been having great results in Kontakt Player 4 and I'm very excited to be able to save my adjustments and not have to shut down every so often.

Evolution Guitar is awesome.

Looking forward to an Iconic Saxophone: Wayne product someday.

Hah, that would be incredible! I saw Wayne Shorter play a few years back with John Patitucci, Brian Blade, and Danilo Perez--amazing. And that was one of the most minimalistic and tasteful times I've heard him play, too.

I missed seeing Michael Brecker, though. I went to see him play, and he ended up having to get a sub, since he was having back problems (the first signs of his condition, MDS). Bob Sheppard subbed for him, who is also an incredible sax player, but I still feel bad about missing Michael Brecker. That guy is something else!

The NI upgrade is a great deal. I'm kicking myself because I bought Komplete 6 when it wasn't on sale and I still haven't even installed it (I'm waiting until I get a new Win 7 64 bit DAW PC).

A little OT, but Abbey Road 60s Drums is on my wish -- the drums sound fantastic on the demos and I've heard some audio clips from users that also sound great (I'm just waiting for NI to update it for Roland V-Drums like their 70s Drums library). I'd be interested in your opinion?

And before I get slammed for being too off topic: I agree, Evolution Electric Guitar is awesome! :D

Anybody else?
Have you tried the lite patches? I'm curious how faster those load for you.
they are faster in total time, but i suppose just because there are less (or shorter wavs. The rythm libs is faster than the lead libs. I can see the loading in the display and its really slow compared to other libraries. The double chords made me nuts.
Beside of this, it's a wonderful work, an absolute beauty in sound and skills!
just wanted to say: it works much faster now. Sorry for my complaints, Greg! :)

They sound great and are exactly what you'd expect. I like the Abbey Road 70s Drums even more as they fit into more styles of music and can be a little less (more?) dated than the AR60s. I still use BFD an awful lot and the SSL drums are very good. You can't go wrong with any of them, but, the Abbey Road Drums are very tailored to the "Abbey Road" sound. Good sounds to have though.

I got to see that tour in Miami and it was the single greatest show of my life. I was a huge Weather Report and Wayne Shorter fan and the show was beyond expectations.
