Is there anything like Ohmicide but in hardware?

Anything about hardware musical instruments.

I am very curious, If someone made something like that I would snatch it up in a second. If you know of something please let me know! I've been looking but I have not found anything even close.

If there isnt, i should get into electronics..

What part of Ohmicide would you like to see in hardware? There's never going to be anything exactly like it, but there might be some elements of it available.

I just wish there was a simpler ohmicide "lite" with a simpler GUI and just a few knobs. I liked the old days when there was a choice between funky and classic. Too funky for me now.

For hardware you could always turn to Muse Receptor?

If you mean a distortion box that will let you morph between meta presets from a midi keyboard... no there is nothing like that in hardware.

I can accomplish something similar with my modular synth using a sequential switch as a router but I don't have the equivalent of all the distortion models. Using analog delays in series with different distortion and filters for feedback is a lot of fun when you have the knobs to tweak right in front of you though.

Ohmicide would be very difficult to implement in hardware I'm afraid.

I know the preset morphing would be really hard to do, I was sort of thinking more along the lines of this.

Forgive me for my simplistic design. I just started to learn how to mindmap

You could do something like that with an Eventide H-8000fw or with a analog modular using a Cwejman CRV-24.

There might be other solutions, more geared towards guitars but I'm not sure.

cool that CRV-24 looks like a great starting point!

I was thinking of using something like i described for distorting drum machines

I think the idea -might- stem from this:

(It has individual outs which I guess you could route into other effects too)
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Is it out already?

Another option for splitting bands would be something like a DBX 234 crossover, which you can get for around $200, and then run it out to various distortion pedals. The trouble is that any hardware solution to match Ohmicide's functionality is going to get spendy.

I don't think so. It is the first Cwejman module that I'm really interested in though, so I'm keeping my eye on it.

Here's something along those lines, only two band version though...

Might not be exactly what your looking for but I just love this thing....

The front panel is wood FFS!!!

Cool as shit :)
No, that Glitch is meant to be there.....

I kinda thought about the Fucifier as well - it's not really functionally similar, though. And costs a gold-plated arm & leg.

It certainly differs from Ohmicide on price and to make a fully hardware version, as already mentioned would be very expensive. I just wanted to make it even more so.....

But examples like :- http://evolaudio.com/fucifier/audio/kor ... f3-mix.mp3

....make me think the results are probably what most people want the Ohmicide to achieve. Obviously I understand that the Ohm has much more bands and distortion types, but to build a hardware Ohmicide out of what already exists in hardware form must surely have this unit somewhere in its system - certainly if money wasn't an issue, you would probably want 2 in there :)
